Since the 1896 update and the new game engine and visual improvements, the game became unplayable in my honest opinion. The main issue is that the fog inside the caves and buildings is too aggressive, it really makes you feel uncomfortable playing it. It's a shame because the game is good, it is truly unique but they are pushing these visual effects too far, resulting in a very poor experience. The screenshots are looking cool and all but playing the game became really uncomfortable and painful. I just have to give this game a bad review because it seems that they are not going in a right direction (treating Hunt Showdown like some kind of cryengine's showcase product or whatever), but still have hope that they will give us an option to turn all these distracting effects off and let us play the game like we used to.

What a great game, can't wait for the full release!

Maybe not the best in the franchise, but definitely one of the nicest and most exciting games I've ever played.

Sad to see how Snail Games ruined this game, but still we have unofficial servers and great community that will hopefully continue to give this game some love and allow us all to enjoy this game as much as we enjoyed it. 🥲
