A really challenging and cute game! Great for fans of classic word search games- it's got very simple controls and a clean minimalist style. I love making the little worm dance when I do a good job :3

Everything about this is great. The music is like I'm playing an Animal Crossing game, the permanent sunset is like hanging out on a lazy afternoon, but navigating the dock builder and sipping up fish kept my brain engaged- gotta make sure I don't let those fish get away, and also be careful I have enough room to build my dock! I also love all the little secrets placed around the map. This is a clear labour of love, and I hope more people find this little gem of a game so the devs get encouraged to give us some more :)
Stay hydrated!

Great game!! Honestly, this is like a bite-sized DanganRonpa. If you like interactive Visual Novels like that, you'll love this. Yes, the story is linear- there's no branching paths, no failure conditions, just a story for you to unravel. There's a lot of neat little extra lore you can read about if you look hard enough, the characters are written well, and the story and concept is really enthralling. The entire game is roughly 12 hours- going at a casual pace- and the art and music are absolutely fantastic. I would love to see this become a series- or a jumping off point for similar games from the devs. Of course there's still room for improvement- it could be more obvious when there's a new interaction in the scene instead of interacting with everything again until you find it, the text has a few errors here and there, and there could definitely be more puzzles and a branching storyline if more games come out similar to this one. But as a fan of DanganRonpa and its spinoff Rain Code, I really enjoyed this game! I'll be staying tuned for more!

It was over a decade ago that I played the first Submachine- displayed on the sidebar of a free flash game site as a recommended game for me. I loved it- I love point-and-click games, I love puzzle games. I saw there was a second Submachine, and a third! I played the games over and over, trying to see how fast I could finish them, trying to find all the little red orbs ("secrets"), and waiting for more games to come out. I knew it couldn't be the end. I found myself on Mateusz Skutnik's website, bookmarking the page and checking back periodically for updates on whether new games were coming out. The games got longer, harder, more frustrating, but I always had fun exploring the realm and trying to find my way through the Submachine. I bought the collection from Skutnik's site when it came out, and finally played through- and finished- Submachine 10. And I felt a pang of sadness at the ending. As far as I knew, that was it for Submachine. I'd made it to the end. I had a lot of fun doing it. Imagine my surprise when I opened Steam ,and was taken back to the memory of the old website that had brought me to the game in the first place. Steam was recommending me Submachine Legacy.
Mateusz Skutnik has put a lot of love into this series. Maybe that's why I also love it so much. The worlds are mysterious and compelling, the fragments of story hidden around the world keep me going, and the ambient music just adds to the ethereal and liminal feeling these games have.
Submachine has been tweaked and reworked a few times over the years, and Submachine Legacy may just be the biggest rework the series has gotten- especially since the separate games are now chapters in a single game. There are some aesthetic choices that have been replaced in the earlier games, and the series as a whole feels more cohesive as a single game with multiple chapters. All the "secrets" of the individual games used to lead to little development notes from Skutnik (in-game, as galleries usually), but now the "secrets" have been tweaked to lead players through a new chapter of the series. I was sad when I believed 10 was the end of Submachine, but now it seems the Submachine has a new engine. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us.

This is how a sequel should be. Psychonauts 2 is fun, charming, visually amazing, and completely engrossing- just like the original Psychonauts. Every world is amazing, and large enough to have fun exploring without areas feeling empty. I still audibly laughed at some of the jokes told by the characters- just like the first game. It's taken me 21 hours to 100% the game (and achievements), and every hour was fantastic. My only qualms about the game are that the SFX syncs are a little out of place. Immersion becomes a bit broken when mouth flaps don't like up with the dialogue, or there's the sound of hurried footsteps when a character is slowly walking away. But that's it- those are the only issues I personally picked up with the game. The controls are great, the abilities are great, the audio is fantastic, and the graphics look awesome compared to Psychonauts 1, while still maintaining its unique visual design. This game is absolutely worth buying if you've ever played the original Psychonauts, or want to play it in the future. I'm honestly hoping we'll be able to experience an equally amazing Psychonauts 3 in the future.

You can help people.

You can sacrifice their mind and personality for science.

You can call everyone insane and force them to undergo your treatment.

For normality and the mind.
