Hardspace is an excellent and engaging physics puzzle game. The controls and interface are solid, it is conceptually simple but there is deep opportunity for skillful play, and there is an entertaining narrative about blue-collar workers living in a company town-style environment where they are kept perpetually indebted to their employer, who profits mightily off of their labor.

Oh, and the space-western soundtrack is phenomenal. It is relaxing and pleasant when things are going well, and then adapts to be more techno-sinister if you get in danger of being electrocuted, crushed, suffocated, irradiated, stranded, etc.

As a fan of the old XWing series, this game delivers exactly what I was hoping it would. Solid sorta-but-not-too simmy dogfighting with enough systems and variability to provide a satisfying depth of experience. With a VR headset and HOTAS, a Star Wars space battle fan's dream come true.
