Genuinely my favourite souls game out of the three. I am not saying this because controversy and ♥♥♥♥ but this game does so many things great while also doing so many things really bad.

There will be a few spoilers without black bars (mainly because idk how to create black bars) so beware

Things that I like:

Power stancing and dual wielding is amazing.

The gameplay itself (after leveling adaptability to 24*[i/]) is really fun for me. Personally my playstyle is to kill every enemy in an area and then explore what items are around. This fits for dark souls 2 because there are too many enemies and simply running through them to get the items (if you don't know what you are doing) is a bad idea.

The areas are unique and interesting and there are quite a few to visit. Majula is just simply the best hub in any fromsoft game. Dragon aerie and dragon shrine are such cool places.

Most bosses are imo fun and the lore of the game is top notch.

Things that I don't like:

It is really hard to understand where to go without looking up guides. Now this is not that big of an issue to me but it still is an issue in the game. I didn't have this problem with the other 2 souls games.

The game goes on for too long, towards the end of the game I felt burnt out and simply wanted to finish the game, especially after the dlc.

Some stuff is impossible to figure out unless you randomly stumble into it or look up a guide such as draining the poison out of Earthen peak or that you can jump down from black gulch to gain access to a dlc area. Additionally some bonefires are impossible to find without guides because they are so easy to miss.

Some bosses are simply not fun because either they are too strong for certain builds or the mechanics are stupid to find out. Fume knight is one of the hardest bosses in the game and for my ultra greatsword build he ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over many times, this boss is an absolute nightmare for slow builds. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate royal rat authority he can eat ♥♥♥♥ and die. I killed mytha without knowing that you can actually drain the poison out of her arena. Darklurker is a ♥♥♥♥♥. Havel wanna be and his gang is a stupid fight.

THE RUN BACK TO SOME OF THE BOSSES MAKES ME WANT TO CRUSH MY BALLS WITH FUME ULTRA GREATSWORD

Final boss of the game was too easy, especially after what the ♥♥♥♥ happened in the dlc bosses.

Three areas in the game are the worst designed areas of all souls games: The gutter, black gulch and shrine of amana. ♥♥♥♥ these places and whoever designed them.

Overall though I enjoyed ds2 the most out of the 3 soul games. Idk why but it is simply so fun for some reason.

Don't ever try to have fun in this game. You get one too many kills you get thrown into a 4 stack enemy team with full coms and camping and sticking together the whole time

Perfect for an hour (if you solve the puzzles actually) or 20 min experience tbh. Funny and definitely a must play.

This game is an absolute blast, workshops are amazing and the original maps are super fun as well. I recommend one shot maps, troll maps and surf maps as they are the most fun imo.

This game is quite good, usually I dont write reviews but here it is:
Pros
-Unique art style
-Chill gameplay (Using only your mouse is possible)
-hardness levels are exactly fit, easy is easy normal is decent and hard is challenging
-Rewarding (at least not in rougelike)
Cons
Honestly couldn't find anything bad except for sometimes items and such are a bit too expensive but you gain money rather easily so thats not a prob actually.
After all worth the money, really cool game, keeps you playing and you can feel your character progressing which is what I search for in most of the games. Haven't died or tried the 2 other characters yet but I believe those are really cool as well.
