Absolutely everything about this game oozes quality; the writing, the characters and their designs, the flow of combat and the homebrewed changes to 5e's systems come together to create a truly phenomenal CRPG experience. Clearly a culmination of years of experience and honed expertise, Larian has managed to deliver a game that is leagues ahead of anything else in the genre. If you're looking for a DnD style isometric tactical experience/an enthralling story with twists and turns that make multiple playthroughs feel inevitable, look no further. This is exactly what the Baldur's Gate formula needed to bring it forward into the 21st century.
