I absolutely have over 1,000 hours in this game. It's so worth it, but make sure you get DFHack as well (it's free on Steam) for the best experience. LegendsViewer for inspecting the world to tailor your experience more tightly before embarking; and if you want to see your fortress in 3D, while unfortunately not real-time, VoxUristi(+MagicaVoxel for viewing the output) are both nice but not necessary.

Going through a storm was the most thrilling ♥♥♥♥ ever and I miss this game, bring it back.

Honestly one of the best modern indie games. I found this game probably around a decade ago, and have never thought badly of it.

It's FROM soft, I mean come on. You can't go wrong with a FROM soft game.

WW3 is gonna steal your man

If you take all the best aspects of Squad and Battlefield 2 (and Battlefield 4's weapon customization, but on steroids), this is what you get... so if that sounds interesting I would highly suggest WW3. It's well optimized even at such an early stage and the devs work their asses off to make it work for this undeserving playerbase... so come join us on this battlefield and put some lead downrange.

I threw two shovels like javelins, impaling a cultist on each one, then beat a third one to death with a hoe.
