EU4 is definitely up there as one of the best grand strategy games available on the market, it's depth, and re-play value are fantastic. It has in depth and rewarding mechanics for the majority of countries. The learning curve is steep, but in the end, the reward is worth it.

I have a couple of minor criticisms though, they are more widely of the developer itself. Many of the updates seem to be somewhat rushed, while large amounts of functionality seems to be forgotten about, and left to become completely unbalanced as a result of this. An example of this would be later start dates in the game.
