Actively sucking away my life and loving every second of it
Imagine Elden Ring + Returnal, about a mix of the pace of gameplay between both games. Not too fast or too slow, but boss battles definitely ramp up intensity.
It's good. Get it.

I played under an hour of most other 'souls' games, and could never get into a single one. But I would always buy them because they looked so cool, and people raved about them. So as usual, I bought into the hype and got this game, knowing I would probably hate it.

Contrary to my own belief though, I fell so deep into this game that it affected my life and everything I was doing outside of work for almost two weeks, logging the most hours I have put into a game in a long time.

As a whole the game has some of the most beautiful scenery and bosses I have experienced in my life. So many times I stopped to just say wow and look at everything.

There were times I got very frustrated, but the game is open world and encourages you to leave an area to go explore if the area you are at is too difficult (and starts this in the beginning of the game with the golden horse rider 'tree sentinel').

I never had to farm throughout my entire playthrough, I didn't get to complete and finish all of it in the amount of time I played either, which goes into my piece on replayability. I am going to do new game plus at least once, maybe a few times, so I can do different builds (I did dexterity which for anyone new to the franchise is like fast attacks with katanas or bows) such as sorcerer or a strength build, and through those playthroughs I can explore questlines I hadn't completed before.

This is a very non-traditional game for me. I had to focus more on exploring than going straight through storyline, so keep that in mind. This isn't a story you can rush. It has to be done on the pace that you can go. Some people farm to grind levels and do what they want, some people rush bosses even though they arent leveled, but get upgrade material (runes) from them and that boosts them up, or some people like me just explore and run around enough to be ready for the area you go to naturally. If you aren't, just simply go explore more.


THE PARTS I DID NOT LIKE

These style games are notorious for 'not holding your hand' and it stays true to an extent. If you talk to an NPC and start a quest (unofficially, mind you. it doesn't say "NEW QUEST STARTED") you will actually have to listen and understand what they are saying to know what to do. And even if you do, sometimes the next step is obscure/niche to continue on, which is cool if you like the discovery thing, but in such a vast open world, you better be ready to keep an eye out for that for a long time, or just be willing to look it up online.

Another piece to this is upgrade materials. As I was streaming this it literally became a running joke for "the quest for smithing stone [1] because I could not find any sort of abundance of them whatsoever ([1] is required to upgrade weapon to +3, then you need smith stone [2], [3], and so forth) and i could only find [2] and up. I finally had to look up locations for them and happened to find the final one on a body on the ground by a shack. I didn't even consider upgrading another basic weapon for the rest of the playthrough because of that. Only special weapons that took a different type of stone.


FINAL THOUGHTS

The game is really a super high quality game for a lot of reasons, as someone that has hated souls games until now, I really implore anyone looking and seriously considering to give this game a try. It is worth anywhere between $0-$60. It is an experience and is just really fun to see your progression from fighting a boss early game with all your troubles you have, to the endgame with your fancy and awesome ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear and power that you have. Getting to go back and run through the beginning areas with your horse and one shot enemies as you run by is orgasmic, by the way.

I don't think you can change boob size though so probably like 7/10. If they fix that then I'd give it like 9/10

Don't read reviews. Wear noise cancelling headphones if you can, play alone. Experience it for yourself.

This game is so good. Idk where to even start. I haven't even broke the surface of the game honestly but thats only because its so in depth. But you don't even get overwhelmed by it. (unless you go to the skills tree of your character and scroll all the way out. HOLY ****). Graphics are freaking balling (GTX 970M) and everything seems pretty freaking smooth. Definitely not a lack of people in the world chat either which means helpers :) i think you can have a party of people too but i didnt delve too much into that i just basically enjoyed it by myself. Why am i even still doing this? IT'S FREE. IF YOU LIKE ANY OF THIS STUFF THAT YOU SEE ON THIS PAGE DOWNLOAD IT AND TRY IT NOW. You won't be disappointed :)

i had this on my ps3 a long while back and im super glad i got it again. if you like poker, (its texas hold 'em and omaha) comedy, and at least know any of the characters (Glados--Portal, Sam and Max--Adventures of Sam and Max games, Ash Williams--Evil Dead, Claptrap--Borderlands, and Brock Samson--The Venture Bros) youll freaking LOVE this game. even if there arent alot of different poker games its so fun. the commentary is funny, often, and doesnt really get repetitive at all unless you play it for like 2 days straight (maybe, i don't even know). Such a good game.

yea so you should fix whatever issue it is my laptop crashes each time i press start idk why i have a gtx 970 and a 2.7 GHz i7 so idk

Love this game, had it on PS3 as well, still awesome. The only thing i dont like is that if you play alone it can get repetitive cuz theyre all the same levels. other than that its super amazing co-op and everything :)
