Some of the best multiplayer action co-op I've ever seen in a computer game. And this game really FEELS like a brainchild of Tolkien, unlike some recent super-gritty cheap GoT-ripoffs *cough*Shadow of Mordor*cough*.

Bug-riddled ♥♥♥♥♥ with no coherent design vision. Long War 2 improves it, but you can't build anything truly great on a rotten foundation. All DLC packs except for Shen's Last Gift are a joke, filled either with gimmicky customizations that are visually ridiculous enough to feel out of place in a Mel Brooks movie, or crucial features or items that should have been included in the base game (icarus armor - this was in the original XCOM, but here you are extortioned into buying the total sociopathically xenophobic piece of ♥♥♥♥ Alien Hunters DLC for it).

And Pure Virtual Function crashes. Incessantly. Once you have installed a number of mods for this "mod friendly" game you will start to get CTDs so often that the game eventually becomes completely unplayable. Firaxis have had a year to track down and fix this, but instead they blame it on modders. As if any game of acceptable quality would allow mods to break it hard enouch to cause CTDs.

If you're an X-Com fan and haven't played this yet, you are better off skipping it and looking elsewhere for you UFO Defense fix. Xenonauts 2 and Phoenix Point are both promising candidates on the horizon.
