Combat is fundamentally broken. Your phantoms only last 5 turns so you cant win the fight before they all despawn.

This game is kind of buggy and not very user friendly. The beginning of the game is probably one of the most frustrating parts. There is no hand holding at all and you have to discover almost everything yourself. That being said, it's a good change of pace for me and I don't mind discovering things on my own. It's definitely challenging the first hour or two but once you gain a level your survivability goes way up. I'm enjoying the game so far and I'm looking forward to unraveling more of the story.

Think of the original Fallout series but in a fantasy setting. You have a larger party with up to 4 members. It's got co-op too! It's light-hearted but has serious tactical turn-based combat. Character creation is deep and the possibilities are nearly endless. Dialogue is funny well done. Be prepared to sink many many hours in this game. I spent almsot 10 hours in the first town exploring(looting) all the houses and talking to all the people.

If you loved Fallout 3, you'll love New Vegas. I personally liked New Vegas more because the story felt more engaging. It was more personal and I felt compelled and motivated to complete the story line. I wanted to know who attempted to murder me so I could return the favor in tenfold.
