Sonic Mania is like playing a game from an alternate timeline in which Sega continued to make great platformers into the Dreamcast era. If any part of you ever loved an old school Sonic game this is a must play.

A visual novel I actually enjoy, there should be more games like this.

I played the Playstation version in 2000, this game had a huge impact on my future taste in games and expectations for storytelling in video games. Its a classic for a reason.

This game as a weird power over me, its very addicting, very fun, and rewards you for long term planning.

It suffers a bit from not having as many viable character builds for future playthrouhgs and from not being a very good PC port but Dark Souls III is a great send off to the souls series and has some great level design and the back half of the game has one great boss fight after another.

Just as good as its predecessor, now with a better UI, far better online play, and truly gorgeous graphics while running at 60fps.

My new favorite game. A nearly perfect action RPG. The story is subdued but still epic if you pay attention, your character isn't locked into any one class restrictions every build is entirly unique, and the combat is beautifully done; both unforgivingly hard and yet fair to the player in the way that old school platformers were.

Play this game, right now.

I haven't had this much fun with a platformer in years.
