It's a fun game, but there are some serious problems with the port to PC that push it to where I couldn't recommend anyone buy for the platform.

The keyboard controls are atrocious, and the UI doesn't even bother trying to display keys for it. You have to manually set it to display keyboard controls or you just get XBox specific controls. Even after fixing it, things as simple as menu navigation are needlessly complicated. Even click targets for mouse interaction in menus are bad. Weapon use/aiming using the mouse is actively difficult to do when compared to a controller, despite being a more precise input device.

It doesn't support resolutions other than 16:9. You can pick them, but you'll just get a box in the middle of the screen. Performance is still rather poor even on powerful hardware.

This game was released with major flaws that have serious negative impacts on playability. Hopefully they get fixed, but it's bad enough right now that I regret buying it. I'd refund it if I could.

The publisher also refuses to enable cloud gaming, so you can't play on services like GeforceNow.

All in all, a fairly nasty collection of intentional user-hostile decisions and difficulties due to a poor porting effort.

I regret buying this game. The few moments it worked, it seemed fun, but the DRM and/or launcher is such poor quality that I could never get it to actually run a second time. I only have problems with R* games... and only with R* games that use that godawful social club launcher. I can't recommend anyone pay for this game as a result.

This is a great modern rogue-like game, even in the early access form that I've been playing it in. There's good humor in the dialog, great power progression, and nice carry over between runs. I definitely recommend Hades!
