Vampires go splat, dopamine go gush, 10/10

Coming from DDS, DDS2 is a different, but welcome change.
DDS2 does have it's fair share of jank and weird issues, the game does feel like a Beta or Early Access release, but once you get over/used to it, the underlying game is fun.

I have put 20 hours in just a couple of days and have gotten a decent way through the game, but I believe I still have a bit more to go. It took me a little bit to get used to the new location being so different from DDS1, but I really enjoy it now.
DDS2 does not feel like a simple reskin of DDS1 like so many simulation games do; DDS2 actually feels like it's own game.

Some key differences from DDS:
- Skills are no longer a thing
- Cops do not seem to be nearly as much of an issue
- The overall flow seems much better.

Pros of DDS2:
- The map is much larger, but doesn't feel unnecessarily large or empty. Vehicles allow for easier travel as well as a goal to work towards in the early game.
- Growing seems to be a lot better and more fun
- The ability to dead drop for dealers is a very nice QOL
- Frequent auto saves
- Multiplayer of course :)

Cons of DDS2:
- Janky combat
- Weird movement issues, I've had some clipping issues causing softlocks
- Quest bugs prevent some progression
- Translations are not always there


Overall, I think this is a good game to grab on sale. The full price would be worth it once the jank is (hopefully) ironed out.
If you are coming from DDS1, give yourself an hour or so to adjust :)

I wrapped my car with wood and became then one with the forest after yeeting myself off a cliff and falling for a solid 7 seconds

I stepped on a spider, got mauled by a puma while treating the bite, punched the puma hard enough it ran away, and then died from an infection.
