Great as a stepping-stone to some serious simulation racing game.

Hilarious game. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the story yet, I've just been building houses, killing monsters, burned myself several times, exploring caves and had a great laugh.

I have now played an additional 250 hours since my latest review. Combined with my 400 hours on Origin, I think I am ready to give a thorough review.

Pros:
- Best game for football, in the sense you control the players.
- Pro clubs is helluva-lot of fun, with friends.
- If you like Ultimate Team, you get very rewarded by playing a lot.

Cons:
- Pricey.
- Expensive micro-transactions.
- Games "feel" scripted, in the sense that players feel unbalanced and makes certain players meta-heavy.

The game is not a good Esports title. The game is unbalanced. Unconfirmed reports of "DDA" (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment), which EA have denied and has been proven to not be something by letting people have a look into the game-files, rewards worse players simply because they want them to keep playing. Better players may win, but by playing the meta you can easily win. This creates a very boring game, in the sense that every game feels like the same when grinding Rivals or Champs. It's very boring in the long run, unless you play people who genuinly like to play the game and try to do something different. Every team you meet consists of the same 5 backline, at least every third match, with little variation.

And I've found myself grinding and playing this game because of one issue: Gambling. I am addicted to grinding objectives, just to open a pack and building my team with my own players I get from the packs. This is very unhealthy, especially since the game is rated for people aged 13+. which translates to teenagers maybe becoming gambling addicts as older. And this is horrifying. In real football, a lot of teams are sponsored by gambling sites, but for some reason alcohol and tobacco-advertisements are illegal. All should be illegal. Yet we see gambling advertisements consistently on teams shirts in-game and on the boards in the arenas in game.

TL/DR: I can't recommend the game for the commercial price of 60$. The game should be rated 18+ because of the gambling aspect, both in opening packs and all the gambling advertisements seen in the game. It's heavily addicting, but also heavily rewarding. If you want to play football games, go ahead. I've sunk a lot of times, good and bad, into the game.

Love the story, the levels are awesome, best puzzle game to pick up.
