It’s a rare gift to deliver an absurd and sparkling but logical (in its own way) story.

It’s about:

  • how is it to be Mel Gibson from What Women Want but in video game;
  • reading NPC’s minds and helping them to solve their problems;
  • checking that your “condition was in”;
  • laughing a lot.

Why you should play this:

  • the atmosphere of total insanity in sauce of jokes about Smoking Man from X-files, pirates, Peter Pen, Moby-D.ck, nurses and doctors (incl. your favourite - psychiatrists), Big-Foot, Santa Claus, Walking Dead (game or TV show – have no idea, but it was certainly about it), they even refer on old comedy “Stop! Or my Mom will Shoot” with Stallone...
  • stylish “flat” graphic;
  • vivid main character;
  • the game brings forgotten feeling of enjoying playing – not working, not suffering, not nervous trying to beat a hard level, not "push X to win" – just pure entertainment.

Why you may not like it:

  • it’s short – will take 5…6 hours, not more and maybe 1…2 additional hours to get all achievements, but through the fact that it is a game where humor plays main part it’s quite long;
  • unfortunately, there’s no such thing as replay ability – it’s great only for one time as any good joke.

Great parody – unique thing in computer games. And do not look screenshots: you will be just poisoned with spoilers.

Smooth evolution of Blocks That Matter (BTM) and its ideas.

It’s about:
  • solving puzzles with blocks made from different materials (wood, sand, glass, stone and etc.);
  • the core of each puzzle is collecting, throwing blocks, build a different figures from them or interact with level’s environment using properties of blocks’ material: wood isn’t immune to fire, sand transforms into glass (or ice / water into steam) after heating, steel is pulled by magnet and etc.

Why you should play this:
  • you’ve played BTM, you like it and want more;
  • it has better graphic than BTM, supports high screen resolution, offers nice soundtrack and finally you don't need to start level from scratch if you did something wrong - they added special button for cancelling previous actions;
  • you like puzzles, but BTM looks too obsolete for you and you would prefer to play modern version of that game;
  • it contains witty remarks about renown people (writers, inventors) and, of course, about the most famous cheat code of the game industry you might have to google what is “Super Konami code” to beat the last level.

Why you may not like it:
  • it’s just a pure gameplay – there’s no deep complicated story or global campaign for saving the world;
  • you don’t like puzzles;
  • more you are playing, more difficult puzzles seems to be – it’s not true at all, your brain just become tired: give it a break otherwise you will find yourself rather frustrated by the fact that you can’t find a solution.

Nice training for your brains to keep them in good shape.

Disclaimer
All that's following is an impression of a person who hasn't played MineCraft, Terraria, Starbound or any similar games so far.

Addicting, incredibly addicting… Before start please be sure you currently don’t have important things to do.

It’s about:
  • helping little dwarfs to survive in dangerous world(s) by exploring it and developing technologies and themselves;
  • crafting, crafting, crafting;
  • “city management”, but in 2D and only on a scale of one house (or shelter);
  • get into troubles.

Why you should play this:
  • because it’s good for you to help someone who’s smaller and can’t stand for oneself without getting a hand;
  • you like crafting-oriented games;
  • it’s just adorable to see how your dwarfs go through all troubles and conquering dangerous world;
  • you’ve always wanted to try something like Starbound or Terraria, but they look for you either too big (content-overloaded) or ugly (I’m sorry, but it’s true);
  • unlike Terraria or Starbound it offers indirect control - you just plan and point what to do, no reason to play solo on your keyboard or gamepad;
  • unlike in Terraria, items and menus quite large - no reason to screw up your eyes;
  • May, 21 - 4th world was added: finally, we can have GUNS and different craft tree.

Why you may not like it:
  • Terraria and Starbound veterans will be insulted with the amount of content for crafting and lack of opportunities;
  • the craft tree is almost the same in first 3 worlds (there are a few tenuous changes): you develop it to maximum in one world, fix the portal to travel to another world and all that only for starting everything from scratch with the same technologies to explore; in my opinion it would be better to change not only the world's weather conditions but also time and add something truly new into craft tree;
  • now there are 4 worlds available for playing – there’re no hints on any kind of story or campaign: you just have to travel from one world to another and survive walking through the same stages of developing, it makes the game quite monotonous;
  • it doesn’t contain any save option up to your request: your actions are final, all your mistakes stay with you - you can’t replay it, game saves your progress only when you leave it;
  • it’s probably will take over 130 hours to beat 4 worlds (25-35 hours per world plus replays if you want all of the achievements).

Despite all flaws it’s fun, it’s entertaining – if you remember yourself playing Tamagotchi (or at least you know what it is), then give it a chance: highly likely you won’t regret.

Beautiful, but sometimes irritating platformer…

It’s about:
  • exploring the history of alphabet, fonts and typographic industry;
  • jumping.

Why you should play this:
  • it offers nice graphic and 10 levels (including introduction and bonus) with unique style: each one describes new period of typographic history and contains 4 stages (last stage usually presented with easy puzzle);
  • it includes interactive books with description of most important persons and events in typographic history (you have to collect asterisks to obtain all information);
  • on some levels it refers to old classic games (like Pong, Tetris);
  • you like platformers and don’t mind to read something interesting and educational.

Why you may not like it:
  • you might spend some time to get used to physics of that “two-spot” you have to control;
  • on some levels it can really pissed you off so much that you will just start thinking ”Dammit, somebody, please, return these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ “balls” to someone who lost it!”;
  • you are pretty sure that playing and reading must be two different, unconnected processes.

It’s a bundle game – it’s foolishly to demand from it something marvelous or majestic for such price.
