Garry's Mod may not be the best looking game out there, but it you can do a LOT more things in it. Most people seem to think that since DarkRP is on top of the sevrer list, and they are filled with screaming 10-year-olds, that must be all of gmod.

This is not the case.

Once you start going down the list of other gamemodes, you may find hours on top of hours on top of hours of entertainment. There may still be screaming 10-year-olds, but the best thing is you can just leave that server and join a different one.

The only downside of multiplayer servers are the downloads. DarkRP servers usually take longer to download everything. If you find a good server that you have everything downloaded, you should stick to that serer (or maybe 2-3 servers for each gamemode you play, incase some screaming kids invade).


Once you get bored of building things, move on to shooting things. Once you get bored of single player, move to a multiplayer gamemode. Once you get bored of that gamemode, try one of the other hundreds of gamemodes in the sevrer list.

The storyline is amazing, and the puzzles are also awesome. Pretty the only thing bad about this game is that on Mac, the fps keeps duping super low, and because of this any timed sequences in the game, the audio and the environment get off sync. Valve, plz fix. The only really noticeable part of this is the first scene, where Wheatley is moving around your room.

EDIT: Either I found a fix or valve fixed it, but I turned 'Laptop Power Saving' on and it is perfect now.
