The original 8-Bit Adventures was a gem but this game has absolutely outdone itself! I know it probably won't be Game Of The Year, but I for one believe that this game deserves the title! As a lover of classic and retro-style JRPGS for the last decade and a half I've had an absolute blast with this game, and as of review time I haven't even finished it yet!

The difficulty curve is just right, the first half of the game is surprisingly forgiving, and it's one of the few games that I've played near its release that I have found to be virtually bug-free! I have so many nice things to say about this from the graphics to the amazing soundtrack to the occasional subtle reference that I simply can't do it justice going on about it here, but I will say this: the money spent on this game is well worth its value. If you like pixel art, a world full of adventure, the freedom of being able to avoid random encounters, and loads and loads and loads of dialogue, then I have a feeling you will love this game as much as I do, if not more.

I know a lot of my online friends aren't big JRPG fans like myself, but in the event they read this I think they too should give this one a shot!

This game is worth every penny. The plot is amazing, the cat is great, the aesthetic is awesome and makes me lament the obsolescence of cathode ray tube monitors, there are so many funny and heartwarming moments within the game, and the soundtrack is positively superb. It's also an emotional rollercoaster, so unless you have no heart, you WILL get The Feels™ throughout the game.

I know times aren't easy as I post this so if you want or need to wait for a sale then that's cool, but if you can afford to pay the full price and want to splurge a bit, it might not be a large game but it's a game that will likely end up being close to your heart within the first five to ten minutes.
