Early Access Review
It took the video game industry over 20 years to realize that all you need to make a good online shooter is proximity voice chat and a functioning moderation system.

A really fun game if you like shooting things from a really far distance. Or if you hate arcade shooters with a passion.

The campaign is okay. Showcases are okay. Workshop scenarios are Workshop, so it's always a hit or a miss.

Multiplayer is a hit or a miss, but when you really find the perfect server that meets your needs (for me its 55th Delta's Invade & Annex Co-op servers, which I can hop in and out of casually), the game is a blast. Teamwork is incentivized in gameplay, and you end up looking stupid if you're going out solo, which is a breath of fresh air.

The game itself is VERY customizable, to the point that it can get confusing. Prepare to check your keybind list and the field manual often.

Much of this game is locked behind DLCs; I'd say maybe just over a third of the game is vanilla content. Thankfully, Bohemia allows you to use DLC weapons and equipment anyway, albeit with slightly annoying watermarks, but all the fun stuff like terrains are locked up. Wait for a sale and snap up Apex, Laws of War, and Contact; you'll need them.

Excellent game. Online is super grindy and is practically terrible, which is why I spent most of my playtime on it. Story Mode is amazing though, and its plot is memorable and a real classic.

The only things in this pack that are worth it are the equipment, and even then, you never really notice if they do anything.

As for the vehicles, I don't know, because they're so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive.

But it's great to have around.

I don't get why this just isn't already preinstalled. Did they not want to update the game?

Whatever the reason, you literally need this if you don't want to die from boredom with the vanilla game.

The pinnacle of simulator games, Euro Truck Simulator 2 offers a larger map than American Truck Simulator.

Other than that, it's the same exact game, except the trucks you drive are flat, and you're not American.

But I got Euro Truck Simulator 2 first, and I really do love it. It's an incredible game, and if I had to choose between keeping this game and American Truck Simulator, I'd keep this one.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is probably one of the better first person shooters I've played. It's challenging, it's fun, it's got a dedicated, large playerbase, and its gameplay is similar yet different compared to other games of its type. One major pro is how there's no long wait to respawn, unlike games such as Insurgency: Sandstorm. RS2 is a good game.

That, of course, is why Tripwire Interactive dropped this game in late 2019 to develop a mediocre shark game.

The only downsides I can see are bugs, such as this one where voice chat will continue to play even after you switch servers. Not sure if that got fixed.

Thankfully, Antimatter Games is developing a spiritual successor called '83, set in a Cold-War-gone-hot situation, and I can't wait to not be able to afford it.

I got this game a while back, fully under the pretense that it was a parody of battle royale games, where you fought with kitchen utensils. Like, it's called Cuisine Royale, and early screenshots had things like guys wearing colanders or some sh!t.

But it's just PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds with a worrisome amount of skimpy female outfits.

And it's free, but Fortnite is also free, and judging by how many people actually care about Fortnite, I'd say that Fortnite is actually somehow better. That says a lot.

Mere months after I bought this game, Burnout Paradise Remastered came out. Burnout Paradise Remastered has all of the DLCs, while this game has none.

It has terrible graphics, though that's what you'd expect from a game released in 2009. It has low replayability, unless replayability to you is just driving around in an almost-empty city breaking the same exact billboards for the 38th time. The races go from easy and fun to unusually difficult pretty quickly.

However, EA took the game off Steam, and I own a copy, so I guess I win. Get some.

Oh, also, in case you were wondering how many sh!ts EA gives about Burnout, this game is listed under the Need for Speed franchise.

The vast majority of people who bought this game bought it on sale, and they have it installed, but they've never played it. That's because Counter-Strike: Source is required for a vast amount of Garry's Mod Workshop content.

But to the Giga-Chad Thundercocks who have actually played Counter-Strike: Source, the game is pretty much Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, except this time you get to actually shoot people instead of getting obliterated by a clan member with a PC specifically built and configured to professionally run Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at its highest capabilities.
