Play this game with your friends and don't look anything up, try to go in as blind as possible. There are SO many cool puzzles and secrets and even if you could have all of them appear in one playthrough (you can't), missing things and noticing differences on a second runthrough is so fun. Only game that made me feel as excited or impressed figuring out secrets or puzzles has been TUNIC (you should also play that game), and unlike TUNIC this game has online co-op so you and up to two friends can excitedly tell the others about the differences between your world and theirs. Fantastic game and even though I'm under the minimum requirements to run it the game still plays fine on minimum settings with upscaling (looks crusty though).


The shooting is good too I guess

This game only has the prologue and act 1 at the time of writing this, but man is it GOOD.

Pros:
- Every option you have is satisfying and the game keeps giving you more
- With one exception, all the bosses are really fun to fight
- The sound design is Top Tier, buy this soundtrack from Heaven Pierce Her on bandcamp RIGHT NOW
- Everything also looks really good if you like retro shooters, it also has a PSX mode for if you want it extra crunchy
- The Cyber Grind is amazing
- The style system rewards you well for using the game's mechanics well, taking risks, and generally being cool

Cons:
- There's only like 15 or so levels right now
- Some of the secrets and challenges are a little obtuse
- This game is really hard sometimes and it gives you a bad rank if you suck, which can be discouraging

Overall: solid 8.2/10, thank you New Blood for being consistently good. If you want a similar game made with twitch shooter newbies in mind, go play DUSK

Do you like going Fast? Like so fast you can barely control your character? What about Big Numbers? What about Lots of Numbers? If you aren't epileptic and want to give yourself ADHD feel free to pick this gem up. You'll get absolutely destroyed even on the easiest difficulty at first, but once you get the hang of it and unlock new characters and items you're sure to get confident, up the difficulty, and resume dying horribly. Or you'll have a 3 hour god run where nothing can touch you until your toe gets nicked and you die in one hit. Also finding the artifact codes scattered through the levels is fun and enjoyable mostly, but you can just look them up once you're over the joy of discovery. Have fun and don't let the planet kill your spirit!

Quality product if you like card games and roguelikes, very replayable and rarely frustrating. Sometimes you have to do math though.
9/10 would slay again
