I highly recommend this game.

I have heard a lot of people ask if it's like Civ and I would say the 2 can't really be compared. I never finished a single game of Civ either single or multiplayer as it just got too tedious. But I have almost 120 hours of multiplayer game time in Northgard and love every minute of it.

The game is early access so there is still features not yet implemented but the team has been doing a great job so far. The last patch addressed some much needed things for multiplayer as some of the victory types were a little too easy to get. It also made controlling your military units easier and the map more useful with the ability to switch between resource view and military view.

The early game is all about managing your resources and building the right things at the right times to maximise the output of your workers. Mid to late game, depending on the type of victory you are aiming for (there are 5 different ways to win if they are all enabled) will depend on how much you develop a mobile military, defenses, trade routes or researchers etc.

Overall this is the best early access game I have had the pleasure of playing and I look forward to it's continued development.

This is an extremely fun game. Can't wait for The Epic to start. Made by the guys who did the cRPG mod which I had a lot of fun in too. More attack directions than MB and a little easier to block and feint (which is good for me) also already Duel and Conquest servers. Been over 100 players in every game I have played and I'm in Australia so the rest of you will probably have more. Good luck!
