Early Access Review
The learning curve is long and boring, so expect many losses in the beginning, but if you stick with it, you'll eventually get the hang of things and start winning battles and enjoying the game. My main complaints are the lack of variety in the hideout raid maps and the repetitiveness in the end game.

Early Access Review
I have 100+ hours in this games and I just started building the Dyson Sphere. The game is all about logistics management and resource discovery, but once you get all the possible resources and have the necessary upgrades to effectively transport them, it starts to become a bit more of a waiting game while you just have to wait for stuff to be delivered and built in order to get the next upgrade. It's still in early access, however, so I hope there's more end-game stuff to do in the full release.
Despite that, I feel like I got a great value from this game; I had fun and don't feel ripped off or disappointed like other early-access games have left me.

And to briefly cover the technical aspect: I experienced no crashes or game-breaking bugs in all that time. It ran smooth and stable, and the main "issues" were some minor clipping errors.
The only other complaints (more like suggestions) would be that I wish it had a better categorizing system for inventory items and buildings. When you have a full pack and all the buildings unlocked, sometimes it takes a bit to find what you're looking for.

Overall, a great little game for people with a logistical itch, and I look forwards to starting over and using more difficult map parameters next time.

It takes a lot of effort to have fun in ARMA 3, but one hour of fun in this game is more memorable than 100 hours in Call Of Duty.

This isn't a space combat simulator. It's a space trading and exploration simulator with combat mixed in for the sake of raising the stakes. If you want to be a pirate or marauder, expect a very hard life. If you want to be a trader, however, it's a grind. And if you want to explore, you will experience monotony in its purest form. However, I did a little bit of all three and managed to keep things fresh. The amount of customization available to ships is where the variety comes from. You can be a pure merchant and haul hundreds of tons of normal cargo back and forth, or you can get a smaller faster ship and be a smuggler and transport lesser amounts of illicit cargo while fighting off police and hijackers in-between. You do essentially have to create your own fun and your own story, which I don't mind at all. But if you want things laid out for you on a linear path, then this isn't the game for you.
