The good side :
This game is great. There a lot of key elements that keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to play just a little more and then you realize its 3AM and you need to get up in a few hours. There is a pseudo random loot system that will entertain the scavengers. There are a lot of Zombies to kill for those who enjoy that. The builders get a very huge crafting system where you can create your base and build defense systems. While doing any of these activites there is always a sense of fear where you could be backstabbed by a wandering horde at anytime. If you don't know what you are doing that 7th day will kill you for sure. In short the gameplay is excellent and its what has been getting me to play this game for so many hours.

The bad side :
This game has been in alpha for 5 years now. In that many years of service you begin to understand the downside of this game which is the developpers. They have a great game in their hands with an un precedented concept and they are killing it by their inability to have a vision. They don't know where they are going with this game and it will never be finished. The boundaries of updates are never clearly set and they seem to change their focus depending on which foot they get up on. They have not demonstrated a clear view of where the game will go on short, mid or long term. That makes it a game that lacks updates and bug fixes. They are working really hard I'm sure but because they can't add some new bit of content here and there we start to believe that they are doing nothing.

Conclusion :
I do recommend this game because its a really fun game to play. Don't wait on updates from the devs or you'll get disappointed. The game is in a good enough state to really enjoy yourself and for that price you really get a bang for your buck. Graphics are not that good but the gameplay is worth it.

They should change the official name of the game to : 7 days to die alpha
