It's on par with Season 1. Same strengths, same flaws. Telltale had a solid formula and didn't change it. Which is good, because gameplay is really accessory to these games and focus should and in fact does fall on narrative.
Wait until it's complete if you want but do play this game, after Season 1.
By the way, while it could be unfair to say that edgy preteen Clementine is best Clementine, she's at least as brilliant as cute child Clementine.
