Early Access Review
Refreshing take on the RTS genre simply focusing on economic warfare rather than actual. Frantic multiplayer and capable singleplayer/skirmish. No doubt in my mind that this can be fleshed out to be something awesome by the time it is fully released.

Unique art style and solid concept. Fun gameplay with moderate replayability due to leaderboards.

However, this game is SHORT. There are a total of 3 different stages with its themed enemies and music, and this is just repeated with 5 difficulty levels. With a game like this centered around music, I would have hoped for more stages with more opportunities for awesome music.

If there was more effort put into level creation, this would go highly recommended by me. However, I would only recommend this if you can get it on sale. $15 is a steep price of admission for a game with this amount of content.

While this game really does not bring anything new to the table, it combines all of the advertised elements in a very intelligent and fun way. Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in tower defense or roguelike genres.

My Co-op Experience (in the first major town hub):
First attempt, convince co-op partner to dig up someone's grave, only to unearth some sort of mine and both of us get detonated for 35000 damage. Laughs were hard.
Second attempt, co-op partner attempts to pickpocket a cat, angering it and killing it, prompting the owner's wife to attack us. Come to find out it was the mayor's wife and we promptly get curbstomped by 4 guards.

10/10 would buy again.

In all seriousness, an extremely deep RPG experience that definitely does not hold your hand whatsoever. Would highly recommend for either co-op or solo experiences.

Early Access Review
Massive amounts of fun for a small pricetag. Very reminiscent of old school instagib in my opinion, just made much more accessible. Being a "unicycle" with very limited boost and jump abilities really helps slow the game down to a very fun manageable pace. I would imagine beginners would be able to scrap together a few kills and have a good time while veterans are busy slamming the ball off your face with style (mid-air 360s), and are rewarded for that.

Great soundtrack and super fun gameplay (even solo with bots, moreso with friends though).

The game is early access and beware, there are still some odd bugs like not actually picking up a ball when you may have thought you grabbed it. There are also issues matchmaking with friends, but I would imagine come release this game will take full advantage of Steam and being able to join/invite friends.

Soundtrack alone is worth the price of admission. However, the game itself is extremely fun, and difficult. Easily up there on my list of favorite games this year. Even better if you have friends to play with, so do yourself and buy a 4pack and spread the love around.

In this day and age, the amount of consumer friendly developers/publishers are slim to none. Path of Exile and Grinding Gear Games will continue to stand out as a beacon in this regard. GGG is an organization that is definitely working on their passion project and want it to succeed. Full disclosure, I have supported GGG since closed beta, and I will continue to support them as long as they continue on the road they are on. However, I am doing this because I want to reward and support them on their project, not because it is necessary to buy DLC, Pay to Win microtransactions, etc. (although stash tabs and premium stash tabs are a huge quality of life boost for you). They are developing and continuously iterating on quite possibly the deepest ARPG of our time, and doing it well.

I've played well over a thousand hours and have not regretted it whatsoever!

Been playing this for quite some time now and I keep coming back. An excellent game in small doses. Updated rather frequently as well as very frequent events. Would highly recommend this as a fantastic time waster, albeit a bit grindy if you are the type that wants everything. Feel free to sign up with my referral link and get a 7 day XP boost to help you get started: {LINK REMOVED}. Also feel free to message me if you want some co-op :)

Quality graphics, fun/quick/addicting gameplay, varied arsenal, and constantly growing. It is definitely well worth the download.

As for the free to play nature. Everything in the game can be earned with the exception of weapon and warframe slots, and the cosmetics. So for being a free to play game, unless you want to only use a limited amount of warframes/weapons, there is going to be some level of investment for you. However, with a quality title like this, they do deserve the support.
