Delightfully classic while almost unnervingly modern. Much like many recent indie releases, Rogue Legacy marries the the retro vibe look, sound and feel of a 16 - bit platformer, with mordern and creative genre bending. It takes a traditionally frustrating concept such as permadeath and twists it into the basis for character progression and variation. Instantly likeable and filled with suprises.
