Crashes to desktop on launch so fast the game doesn't even appear in the task manager. Verified files, reinstalled, the works. Cool concept, but I can't say much else since it doesn't work.

Game consistently freezes after loading. None of the fixes worked, and despite this being a well-known issue the official developer response is just that the game isn't their issue.

I tried all the known fixes & some of the common ones used on older, jankier, worse games. Nothing worked. Even PCGW at the time of this writing has absolutely zero fixes, or even mentions of the freezing issue.

Apparently it was an issue with 12th gen Intel chipsets, but I have an AMD Ryzen 9, so I'm unsure if it's actually a chipset issue.

Really a shame, because I like Sniper Elite, but I can't recommend anyone spend money on something that does not work. I gave it as much of an attempt as I could, but I'm cutting my losses before the 2 hour refund window closes.

It's charming, in that dumpster fire university project way.

I wish I could give a neutral review, as I would only recommend this if you're a Jeep enthusiast.

They have an offensively limited range of modifications available (almost none for body or cosmetics) & the engine sounds are god-awful.

The Wrangler included with this DLC is a 2nd generation TJ Wrangler Rubicon, for the curious. They didn't specify that anywhere in the description.

They're not very powerful with the default engines & transmissions, so you'll have to hunt them down on the Michigan & Alaska maps to make them viable.

CSGO wasn't fun for me in the first place, but at least it was playable at more than a dodgy frame rate.

If it isn't my own team purposely crashing into me at the start of matches, it's Gaijin trying to crash into what little free time I've got with the grind.

I'll just keep playing WoT with my dad. At least that game isn't banned for people with security clearance.

The TL;DR
  • Max Justified Price: $5 (Multiplayer DLC can be ignored entirely)
  • Game is a good mix of Sniper Elite and Medal of Honor if you're a WW2 nerd.
  • Game has many technical issues, but most can be fixed with file editing. Check the PC Gaming Wiki link for full details & fixes: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Enemy_Front
The Good
  • Game is fun, but not perfect. Budget-ness of it is glaringly obvious at some times.
  • Graphics are acceptable for the time/scale.
  • Large variety of weapons and levels.
  • Enjoyable soundtrack.
The Bad
  • AI will often just die in a static pose.
  • Multiple unskippable splash screens, requiring file editing to fix.
  • Aspect rations past 16:9 suffer from narrow vertical FOV, requiring .ini editing to fix.
  • 60 FPS cap, requiring file editing to fix.
  • Lens flares must be turned off with .ini edits.
The Ugly
  • Many, many bugs.
  • Many invisible collision meshes on objects causing shots to miss.
  • Anything over 21:9 causes the HUD to glitch out and sit over the top of the gun.
  • Commands get slightly confusing in the heat of battle (i.e. Grenades and Molotovs are two differently bound keys).

The TL;DR
  • It's a fun game, but has a cornucopia of horrible bugs and issues.
  • Maximum Justified Price: $10
The Good
  • Game is a great blend of Jet Set Radio, Tony Hawk, and Crackdown.
  • Visually bright and colorful.
  • Extremely tongue in cheek self-aware writing.
  • Very fun and easy to play.
The Bad
  • Game crashes like a MOFO.
  • Game has multiple soft-locking bugs.
  • Music cuts out constantly during gameplay, and music randomly starts/stops mid-song every few minutes. Music often stops for up to 30 minutes at a time.
  • Challenges range from "so easy you can get 10x the gold score on the first try" to "what absolute sadist came up with these razor thin margins"
The Ugly
  • Game is locked to 16:9 with pillarboxing on all ultrawide resolutions, and due to the horrific nature of the game's back-end, it's not easy to adapt.
  • Game is consistently stuck with a corrupted save, even at a fresh install when you've never played before. Deleting the corrupted save will cause an instant 100% replicatable crash to desktop.
  • Several main story missions will crash to desktop if you have certain side quests active but not finished.
  • Several main story missions will soft lock the player into a portal loop if falling from a high place after a checkpoint.
  • Cutscenes can't be skipped (especially annoying when combined with the previous bug)
  • Extremely easy to get stuck inside of walls or other structures due to glitches.
  • Restarting challenges is a physically painful process as you're forced to sit through the same opening camera pan AND accept the restart prompt every single time, despite having quite literally just hit "restart" from the pause menu. What idiot decided this was a good system?
  • Energy ball challenges added with the DLC are by far the worst part of this entire game. They're not fun. They're buggy. They're awful. Whoever came up with these needs to lose their job. They are a pain in the ass.

I really want to like this game, but it's hard to say much good about getting my head taken off by a dude hiding in a bush with a sniper rifle that makes no sound within 30 seconds of the game starting almost every single time I get into a match.

I love the theme, the style, and the whole idea of the game. I just hate PvP because it always devolves into me getting my block knocked off by the top 1%rs at the start of every single match. I'm not good at PvP; I never have been and I never will be. I'm not the kind of person who can twitch shoot my way to victory, or memorize all the locations, or memorize all these min-max strategies. I am a simple man: I see bad guy, I shoot bad guy, dopamine releases.

I want to play the game, and I definitely want to like the game. The rare moments I get into a game and don't get decked by some dude who plays the game 23 hours a day, I greatly enjoy doing PvE monster squashing.

There really needs to be a neutral option for reviews, because neither a positive nor negative review is accurate. I genuinely hate playing the game because of the PvP, but I greatly enjoy playing the game when I can actually do PvE hunting random monsters. There's no solution for me because this is a 100% PvP game, and I doubt that will ever change (though I hope it does).
