Early Access Review
It's the Doom 3 I've always wanted but never thought we deserved. Well done!

It's playable now. 8/10 didn't take long enough.

This game is a hoot.

Really though I have to say Owlboy is one of the best-looking games on Steam. Right from the get-go I could see all the painstaking detail that went into this game to make it as gorgeous as it is, from the charming character expressions to the environments that really draw you into the world of the game. Aside from beholding the magnificent visuals, the game itself is a lot of fun! Keep in mind I went into this without any expectations and found myself surprised at the quality of the puzzles and level design. Oh, and the MUSIC is so vibrant and does an amazing job at reflecting the tone of the game through it's various stages. If you're looking for a game that'll make you smile or just really like owls then I'd definitely say the price is well worth it, even if you just want to give it a shot I'm confident a masterpiece game like this will rarely, if ever, disappoint.

Everything that can be said about this game has been said by now many times over. I would heartily recommend The Witcher 3 to anyone looking to sink in their spare hours into something very worthwhile.

Only after many crippling losses, frustrating encounters, unfortunate outcomes, and landing myself in a situation where even the most mundane quests seemed impossible to complete did I truly fall in love with this game. To say that Darkest Dungeon is a hard game would be an understatement, as disaster is always a possibility and dare I say inevitable. What makes this game different from other RPGs is that luck is more involved than any objective mechanic, as anyone who has played more than ten minutes would be able to tell. With this in mind, anything is possible at any point, whether it be searching through an inconspicuous bookshelf or in a chance-encounter with a boss. In a way, you the player are in the same position as your heroes fighting for your estate, but whether you prevail against adversity or crack under pressure and end up leaving a bad review is not up to RNG. Ultimately, Darkest Dungeon is a game that demands a lot from the player mentally, and it is understandable to feel hopeless, fearful, or abusive as that is all a part of the game, but unfortunately this frustration can lead people to hate the game for being what it is; an unforgiving and unrelenting RPG that will refuse to allow everything to go in the player's favor but instead require the player to react to a poor situation.

Before buying, it is vitally important to understand what it is you're getting, and that is true with anything and is no different with this particular game. Aside from outlining the gameplay, the artstyle is incredible and I would be remiss to not mention it. The art alone was enough to entice me into buying, and I was not disappointed by that aspect of the game. All in all, everything is subject to opinion so I can only hope more people get to enjoy this game where others would not.
