Even if its only a foundation for what's to come, Bannerlord is in a good place. The experience that Bannerlord provides really can't be found elsewhere other than Warband, and the quality-of-life changes that Bannerlord has made makes it hard to go back to Warband.

Admittedly, the modding tools and scene are nowhere near what they were yet in Warband, so the longevity of the game might not yet reach what Warband hit. However, the devs do still update on the modding situation so there is still hope that we'll get the crazy total conversion mods we saw in Warband.

Even still, the base game is fun and enjoyable as is. Leading armies and watching yourself and your clan grow from nothing is still fun in its current state. Wholly recommend, especially if you're looking for that one-of-a-kind experience that only Mount and Blade can offer.
