this game is good. it's challenging but never frustrating. the parry is deeply satisfying when you get it right. there are just enough mechanics to make the fights engaging, testing your reflexes and your strategy. the game is mechanically very tight. the movement and timing feels super sharp. even when i die i never feel like it's unfair. i always know what i did wrong and what i can do next time, and so i never get frustrated.

the story is beautiful and... not sad, per se, but not happy. it feels tumultuous and honest. the environments are stunning and the writing sucks you into the story. the characters (good guys and bad) are memorable, charming, and fun.

anyway this is a really really good game. that's all.

This is a fine picross game. It has a large number of puzzles and it's a decent time sink. And I think it's free? The downsides are that the puzzles are not particularly challenging and even the highest level ones don't require more than the most basic of logic. I averaged a little over 3 minutes per solve on the 15x15 puzzles. I haven't delved into the workshop so I cannot comment on that. If you're a picross beginner, or an expert looking for something to keep your hands busy while you listen to a podcast or something, this is a serviceable game.

One of the best picross games on Steam. Smooth interface, responsive controls, great puzzle variety. The mosaic feature is wonderful, though I would have liked to see more of them. Time trials are fun and challenging. The addition of community puzzles and an intuitive and easy-to-use editor is certainly one of the high points, and gives the game the potential for serious longevity. And if you care none for the bells and whistles, the regular puzzles are superb and numerous. Did I mention the banging soundtrack? There's a lot to love about this game, whether you're new to picross or a veteran solver.
