Glitchy. Bugs. Giant oversights.

Good potential but this game hovers between borderline unplayable on a good day to infuriaring frustrating on a bad day.

First of all, it's been plagued by connectivity issues since the first day. The developers offered some coins recently to make up for it and have made some strides to fix the connectivity issues, but they don't make up for the multitude of lost matches, lost coins, lost progressions, and simple inability to play two head giant with your friend.

Second of all, the UI is atrocious for the PC. It's clearly a port from the mobile versions that came out before the PC edition, and there has been little to no attempt to take good advantage of the mouse and keyboard a PC player would use.

Third of all, there are many, many glaring oversights. There have also been countless times where either an oversight or glitch has caused the match. If you didn't turn off easy targeting in the gameplay options, and you're running a deck with black cards or that involve sacrificing, you'll find (at the time of writing) that easy targeting doesn't allow you to attack yourself or heal an opponent (valid strategies for the more advanced players). There would have been no mention of this until you tried it out in mid battle. There have also been countless times where the game has skipped my main phase (usually the second one, but also the first) or my battle phase. I've been unable to choose my blockers after having pressed the pause timer button and resuming.

All the pros to this game are due to the card game itself. There has been no time where I thought to myself, "Wow, that was a really nice implementation of the card game." In case you're wondering about the hours I've put in, keep in mind I've played the physical card game before as well as played the iOS version when it first came out. All of the glitchiness that version had when it came out got ported right to the PC version, and all the complaints I've mentioned have come from the PC version. I was hoping the PC version would have had the time to fix a lot of these issues, but they haven't. It's actually worse off, because at least the UI makes sense for a tablet not a PC game.

The game implements the virtual currency in exchange for real world money or time that all f2p and mobile games use. If you don't like that in mobile games, you won't like it here.

Overall, I cannot recommend this game. It's too buggy with many oversights on the basic fundamentals of the game. The few good times I've had do not make up for the intensity of the frustration of losing a match due to a fault entirely on the game itself and not due to your skills, or going through an annoying campaign mission only to find out that the game lost internet connection (on an always connected PC) and none of your progress will be saved. A lot of people I know have complained about the lack of cards, but I'm more worried and upset about the very bad foundation they've set up to worry about any future card expansions. I would recommend to wait until they fix these fundamental issues.
