Not sure if the price of the game is well deserved for the content in it but it definitely is not a bad game. I enjoyed every second i played. Well maybe not all of it as some incude purple frog looking creatures blowing me to kingdom come at the last boss. Anyway i have seen few people complaining about the difficulty, hard parries and dodge mechanic.

First of all the parry, there is a visual indicator for parry but parrying just from this indicator is very hard as enemy attack animations are quite fast for most enemies. Fortunately their attack timings do not change much so after playing couple of games you get used to them and parrying is quite easy. However this does not make the game very easy and stale as parry is not going to save you from swarms of enemies.

Dodge mechanic is literally just a jump/roll to a set amount of distance to where you are facing. You dont get i-frames when you dodge and the platform that you fight on can get quite small depending on your actions. So go figure why so many people cry about it. It is completely fine. (Dodge has i-frames now)

The difficulty, like the parry mechanic gets easier the more you play. I won't go in detail like i did with parry but simply you try different strategies throughtout the game and adapt what is the best way of going through. There are even modifiers to make your game harder and you can stack them... (Easy mode has been added)

My only complaint is that despite being a roguelike there arent many items that have unique effects and the ones that have does not change the gameplay that much. I wish item system was a little different with more items and possible synergies. Maybe longer levels with scaling enemies as you go through with more drops or a completely new way of getting items?

This game is really good but the optimization ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. You will have more hours trying to fix fps than playing the actual game. They update the game every week, add new stuff and they even say they optimize it here and there but it got worse and worse they dont optimize ♥♥♥♥ its a huge lie. Its really sad that this game is actually unplayable for me because i really like it. I have gtx 970M, 8gb ram and i7-4710MQ. I usually have 40 fps on lowest if im lucky and i get fps drops every 30 meter i run. It drops harder than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meteor it goes from 40 to an extraordinary 5. Its not viable for pvp to have low fps in this game which pvp is this games core gameplay.

Also dont buy this game to have a peacefull survival experience 70% of people in rust will kill you on sight.

Fix your game its garbage.
