Looks great, lots of customization and things to do. Exceeded my expectations, honestly. However, movement is a bit clunky, and the menus are truly a nightmare to navigate. Otherwise, I'm happy with it—closest thing we currently have to a Splinter Cell remake, and it's a blast in solo as well as co-op. :)

Very nice, cop chases can be intense. Just like the original, it's also really pretty. Unlike most other NFS games, there is no story here, but I would rather have no story than a bad story. More of a focus was put on gameplay as can be seen with the variety of modes available. Off the bat, it has worked with my Xbox Controller, no issues. Bonus points for Jane Perry being in this, my favorite voice actress, who I discovered in the Hitman series.

All in all, the campaign feels like a mix of Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty. If you like these titles, you might get some fun out of this one, but overall, it does play like a pretty average 2010s shooter.

Performance-wise it ran well for me, even at 240Hz after tweaking some configuration files (see below a guide for that). No crashes, no issues with uPlay.

I like the multiplayer nowadays. I'm having more fun with this than Delta Force, so while it's far from a masterpiece, it was worth the $5. If this game hadn't already received a lot of (deserved) criticism, I would be giving it a thumbs down, but if you're able to look past the fact that it's not like the other Battlefields? You might just not hate it that much. All that bothers me, really, is how the maps feel too open, and the awkward class system.

Note that anti-aliasing can't be disabled. If the game is looking a bit blurry for you, here's a fix:
Press ` to open the console, then type Render.ResolutionScale "type the scale you want (e.g., 1.5) 1.0 is default"

Makes it much clearer visually.

Zero Hour can be fun. I see that based on the achievement stats, not many people have played the campaign all that much, and I can see why—it can feel frustrating, especially if you're only with the friendly AI squad (they're not the brightest). However, I managed to complete it and had a mostly good time with it as there are some unique concepts in the levels.

Multiplayer is borderline dead, but sometimes you can find EU or US servers, and while the community is small, everyone has been kind so far. If you can find a match, it's a cool experience like in the older R6 games.

Early Access Review
Ground Branch would definitely benefit from more polish and content, but it is already built on a solid foundation. I appreciate the attention to detail, and how you can customize your guns and operator to a great extent. It's nice to have your loadout exactly how you want and just hop into one of the servers, and go take out some enemies or retrieve intel.

That being said, the player count does feel a bit low lately, and I can only hope that future updates bring in some more players. The roadmap does look promising to me, so I remain optimistic.

A very solid tactical FPS, they've improved it a lot over time. I am constantly in awe at how much detail there is, both to the levels and the graphics. Can't wait to play more of it, especially since there are plenty of mods to try out as well.

New to the game: Russian guy comes up to me, drops me a sniper, armor, and goes fishing for me. 10/10 experience
