Honestly, play this _after_ completing Dark Souls games and Elden Ring (in that order), this is so good it will make them less enjoyable

This is so extremely good, basically the crack cocaine version of Elden Ring

I do have some criticisms of the game though:
- The lack of "fill" option; sometimes, a teammate will just leave for good, and then it's just a 2 people coop. I wish there was some way for another player to fill in that role
- The weapons. While there are some new fantastic additions, most of the top-tier weapons are near systematically weapons from Elden Ring that won't be new to veterans
- The largest issue I've encountered the most is the lack of proper communication. There is no chat, there is no vocal. All you can do is ping. That is extremely infuriating, and can even lead to people quitting the match because they don't understand why you would do something, or why you're not following their pings.


On the other hand, my highlights are:
- A fantastic roster of new bosses (the nightlords), all absolutely fantastic (yes, even Augur, just don't pick a melee focused character against it). Honestly they're largely among the best bosses Fromsoft ever made
- The non-nightlord bosses are all from Elden Ring, but some end-of-day bosses are returning from all Souls game (1, 2, 3)
- The playable characters (they're not custom characters, as opposed to other FromSoft games). They all are very cool, with great designs and unique gameplay. But not only that, they each have their own origin story quests you can complete to unlock new abilities and exclusive skins
- All of them also have skins, either tweaks on their base model or skins from Dark Souls games (Those are unlockable ingame, no microtransactions whatsoever)
- A new movement set, one of the reasons it will be hard to play previous FromSoft games with how it improves upon the existing systems. The freedom it allows is essential to how the game works, requiring you to climb and sprint to avoid the night

The game is a masterpiece, and I'm so happy they're committing to it's continued development, I'm really excited for the new bosses they will add, perhaps even new classes and more returning bosses? (Bloodborne, Sekiro and Demon Souls 🙏)
