I'll add a conclusion at the end. There will be a lot of text.

Introduction
I have used to enjoy this game quite a bit, even played the previous global version published by GameForge, but after putting a lot of time and money into this game I've realized too many things are not okay. I've given the game a few months before posting my review to see if anything would have changed, it hasn't.

My experience
Coming into the new launch of the global version I started this game with a group of friends, experiencing both solo play and group party. Having played many "gacha games", the grind and sanity capping system didn't exactly affect my enjoyment at all, nor did the huge list of cash shop items bother me even.

I've played a lot of this game, enough to have been able to join the top guild of the EN server. And honestly it seemed nothing would bother my enjoyment of the game until I heard about the actions and direction the game was heading towards.
Here is where I'm going to start talking the messed up things that lead to me quitting this game.

Exploits, Hacks and Security
Not many people mention this, but the game forces you to run an anti-cheat that eats your bandwidth, proceeds to scams programs on your computer AND makes the game take absurdly long just to OPEN. Now if it was actually effective I wouldn't really care, but it's useless. This anti-cheat is basically a Spyware.

Apart from tracking you, this anti-cheat does nothing. There are many broken exploits such as attack speed cheats and other stats based things. Now a lot of people would say "as long as it doesn't affect me it's fine" and I wish it would be like this.

  1. The leaderboards, not everyone cares about them, but active players that wish to play the game more then just "casual anime-like pretty views" can get a lot of good rewards out of these.
  2. Currency cheats. Now this one has a lot more effect on even the casual player base. Zenny, the currency used for almost everything in the game, has had many exploits leading to permanent damage in the Trading Market. This affects prices of many items for the entire server making life of any player more tedious. And it goes without saying that many items also just disappeared from the Market from being bought out.
  3. Terrible coded game leading to exploits. For an example, one of the events had a special map for it, after the event ended the game did such a bad job that apparently people could still access it, allowing them to alter there characters since the map provided different alterations to your characters. This stupid exploit that seems easily fixable by just correcting access of the map, took months to fix for NO REASON.

The solutions that Lion Games took
I've talked a lot about all these exploits and game breaking cheats, and as you would expect many people reported them to the game, so lets talk about what they did.

Although they did take there sweet times, they have somewhat fixed these issue, notably by banning a lot of these exploiters. However the story doesn't end at that sadly, before even banning the actual exploiters of cheats and hacks, the company chose to implement new rules, and then proceeded to retroactively ban players for those new rules.
Now you might wonder, was it something horrible that these players did ? No. Most of the firstly banned accounts were free to play players, very active players, or just people that had a lot of spare time. The reason for there ban was for using everything the game has given us, this being mail and trading, to transfer items and currency from one character to another, wow.

So lets say you happen to stop playing one of your pretty characters because you ended up hating how they play, just sending money from that character to another can be considered an exploit. I've had people from my guild/league get banned only because they had spare time and enjoyed playing other characters allowing them to do something when they ran out of sanity/stamina/FP.

While all of this is happening, the issue of the Currency/Zenny exploits are not getting resolved and the damage to the server just continues until they finished banning people that just used game mechanics.

The aftermath of this situation
After having seen the actual devs, Lion Games, horrible takes at fixing the situation, which only happen after many players demanded fixes and players threats of asking refunds, a lot of the pro and active players have dropped the game with good reasons.
Everyone I started the game with has dropped it, some people I met have pushed through and I respect it, but I would highly advise to not trust this company. The treatment the game gives it's community is extremely poor, which just makes it seem like the entire intention of the Global server, is a cash grab.

Additionally, I've not experience this since I quit the game beforehand, but during the months I've been away another retroactive rule was added this one banning people based on suspicion of RMT.
RMT meaning Real Money Trading, is something completely fine to ban, however they are allowing themselves to ban people on pure suspicion without any evidence. As it states that and "large Zenny trades with no items" will be suspected as RMT and banned.
So, imagining I ask a friend to lend me money for an upgrade and give it back to him later, I would be suspected for RMT and both my friend and I would potentially get banned. And since "bank share" has been removed from this version, transferring money from one character to another with the help of a friend may also be seen as RMT.

Conclusion

I have played and invested into this game a lot of time/money and I can safely say that it is not worth.

The many game exploits, hacks and horrendously useless anti-cheat (Spyware) ruin the experience. The solution the game took to fix these exploits was adding retroactive rules and banning many innocent players (~1000 accounts) just playing efficiently before finally addressing players that used exploits (~<100 accounts).

As for the Cash Shop side of the game, the value of the items scream horrible Cash Grab without a care, and this is coming from a player that has played many gacha games. I would advice people to stay away from it.

Customer support, might as well be completely automated, considering the lack of human responses.

My final opinion is as followed, if you wish to play this game just for the ascetics and nice looking anime style combat, I would encourage you enjoy yourself. However if you plan to do anything beyond that as an active player, I would say that your enjoyment will be extremely mixed and chore like with the potential of just being erased completely for random reasons.

I also advise you to avoid falling into the trap of pretty looking skins or at least satisfy yourself with one.

The end, wish you all a wonderful day.
And hope you consider your enjoyment before getting invested into games like these.
