I'm absolutely in love with Fields Of Misteria and i would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the farm sim/life sim genre, as it's a masterful execution of exactly what people have been asking for from this genre for a good while now. Even the basic QOL effects of jumping, swimming and diving go such a long long way to making the world feel alive and eliminating timers on the requests is just simply a great decision, as it relieve's any sort of stress and tension especially when you're focusing on other things.

Honestly bravo to the devs, you truly have created something truly special from the world itself, magical elements within the world, art style, personality of the villagers and the general mechanics. I haven't been this in love with a game in a long time and this has to be the coziest of coziest games to date, even beating out Stardew Valley by a long shot in my personal opinion, for bringing back that nostalgic feeling i got back from Harvest Moon back in the day and that's even in its current state, so i can't wait to see how it's going to push the genre even further in the future and please let us explore more of the kingdom one day haha.

After playing Farlands this evening, i must say the potential this game has is incredible and i'm greatly looking forward to future updates and after reading the road map i'm going to throw my 2 cents in on what i would like to see down the road.

1. Jumping and Swimming. (After recently playing Fields Of Misteria, the ability to jump and swim is an absolute game changer as it adds so much more depth to the experience and as well as a huge QOL improvement to the player, it also unlocks so much more potential for gameplay.)

2. Crop Variety. (Self explanatory, but i'd love to see more variety of crops and crop types as well as tools and equipment that could be used or taken advantage of for those new crop types or just farming in general as you advance.)

3. Weapons and Armour. (I understand at the moment you don't have weapons in the game, but with the Sci-Fi theme of the game, weapons and armour such as plasma swords, lazer beam crossbows, force-fields, galaxy armour and so on could offer a relatively fresh and unique way to tackle the mines.)

4. Story. (So far the story seems like it could be promising and i like the direction i think its being taken, however i would like to see more than; company bad, you good and i hope there's much more mystery to the story overall.)

5. Planets. (The Planets although very limited at the moment show promise, however i would like to see some crazy planets such as a eyeball type planet and black hole type planet that would hold huge mystery and the inhabitants there would be very... interesting?)

6. Traversal. (I like the simplicity of traversal, however i think it could do with a lot more polish as i'm sure it will receive in the coming months/years.)

7. Interactive elements. (I'm not sure if this is planned and i'm sure it is, however i would like to see a lot more things being able to be interacted with, as it brings the world(s) to life and adds so much more than you could possibly imagine to the player's experience.)

I could go on and on and on, but Farlands could genuinely blow up in the future with such a great art style, a relatively unique twist on the farm/life sim genre, great humour and a potentially intriguing story. I wish the devs all the best, i hope Farlands gets all the love, attention and creative idea's it could potentially get and i can't wait to see what holds for the future for this really cool project!
