Genuinely a wonderful experience. The languages are relatively simple, but they still take a long time to learn purely from exploring the environments. My only wish is that there was an "immersive mode" (or whatever you want to call it) where you can disable the automatic translation into the player's language when you hover over text. I really wanted to make my own journal in real life to try and figure certain things out, but sadly once you learn a word, the game automatically translates it when you hover over. Which is totally fine! It's good game design. I just wish I could turn it off and feel that much more immersed.

After some time playing, I really can't recommend it to anyone. It was fun at first, and I'll probably go back to it eventually, but it has so many issues that likely aren't getting fixed with patches.

The random events are cool and the story is actually pretty engaging, but choices often feel meaningless and there's so, SO many loading screens. The neat thing about Elder Scrolls and Fallout was the ability to discover little things along the way to your quest objective. But here, you just fast travel to a planet, walk for a while seeing the same 5 structures (if your lucky), and repeat. I understand that most planets are going to be barren, that makes sense, it should be that way. But there's no real sense of discovery. And after a while, you just end up avoiding getting into your ship as much as possible because you want to minimize all the loading screens during fast travel. Which is a shame because the ship building is SO GOOD. But you can't land anywhere, dock anyone, or fly anywhere without sitting through loading screens. The only flying you ever get to do is in orbit. And if you rack up a bounty, you can't high-tail it to the planet you're orbiting and lay low somewhere because you can't actually fly down to the planet. Instead, you're forced through a scan and either pay a fine or go to jail.

I really want to love this game, but Bethesda's game design just doesn't work for a space exploration RPG. I know they'll knock it out of the park for ES6, but sadly Starfield just left me feeling burnt out.

I was having crashing issues, but apparently my GPU was busted. Got a new 3060 ti, and this runs pretty solid.

Idk what everyone's whining about. I get a solid 60fps using a gtx 1650 on medium settings. The game looks and plays great. Best game so far this year. 10/10.

Absolutely brilliant. Only complaint is that a lot of the achievements won't trigger for some reason.

I can kinda see what the game's going for, but honestly, it just feels like an unfinished walking simulator where you're a one-armed camera man constantly being pelted by asteroids that don't have proper physics.
