It's meh. To many issues, not enough content. Too many poor design choices. Very poor balance. Tried pretty hard to find the fun, and for a time it is. Space Marine 1 is leagues better though.

Game is unplayable if you use more than one monitor, and don't want it on your primary. No option to move it to a differnt screen in settings, and if you use anything else to move it, it breaks the menus so you can't select anything. It's 2024... for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake how are basic features like picking the screen you want a game displayed on not a default feature.

Took me years to finally try the game.... Just didn't think I'd be too interested in it. I was wrong. Do like. Do enjoy. Do recommend.

I'm trying to enjoy this game. I want to enjoy this game. I love most of the other games capcom makes. But... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does this game suck. The combat is the least fun I've ever had, and apparently it's a great combat system. Clearly non of them played a fighter in this game. I can't stand how... clunky and bad it is. I have tried and tried and tried, and even the begining encounters are just insanely tough as a fighter. More than one guy after you means you get knocked down super easy, even as the largest character, and before you can get up they just wail on you till you're dead. One hit and you're dead, even vs low level guys. Yes, you can heal when you're at low health, which... just means you get staggered again as you stand up, repeating the process. Maybe I'm just trash at this one game, compared to all the other games I'm decent at. I keep getting told to play other classes, but why would I if I enjoy sword and shields? I don't want to play other classes, I want to play the one I enjoy in all other games, and not be forced to not play how I want. Buyers remorse here.

Not even going touching on the micro transaction ♥♥♥♥.

Edit: I've now put about 100 hours into this game, and despite enjoying the world, the boss battles, and such. It all got very repetitive. Within 20 hours I was getting tired of fighting only goblins, wolves, a couple cyclops and some ogres. There are a total of like 20 different things to fight, most of them being small creatures which are just different versions of goblins. Six or seven large creatures really just isn't enough, and making them slightly tougher in the second zone and not really changing anything about them.... well, that just doesn't count as a different creature even if you call it a different creature. I didn't end up liking any class either. I've still not beaten the game and I just can't drag myself back to try to finish it, even though the game has some good things about it. If it had more variation, the combat system is very good. I'd probably still dislike it because I don't like their class choices, but either way it's combat system is good. Dragonsplauge is a really neat feature, and the quests punishing you for being slow is nice. Even now though, I think I would have been far more content to not experience this game. I do not believe it was worth my $70 given the amount of things I didn't enjoy and the lack of content.
Play time is inflated in this game because the world is very large(and fairly empty of anything interesting, there is no fast travel... so lots and lots of time running around fighting the same goblins over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

TLDR: Great casual exploration game, not a good game for people who like survival games or expect any sort of challenge or fun combat.

After two hours I was already bored of the combat. Tab targeting is so dated, and stale. Press tab, spam click till things die. Fought the same three things the whole time. Wolf, spear/sword guy, crossbow guy. There is no risk, no death penalty, no need to survive.

Pros: Building seems like it is actually pretty good. Rather tedious to do with how it's set up, but not as bad as some other games. Worse than Valheim, better than Ark. The terrain digging is actually great.
The world looks pretty good, and is very large. Good for people who like to explore.

Cons: Tab Targeting in a "survival" game? The combat needs a complete overhaul. The different weapons don't even have different attack patterns. All of them are identical. Magic and ranged is stupid OP when you quite literally don't have to even aim. You can 100% play this game without any thought. While the assets they used to make the world look nice, do in fact look nice, they're the same ones reused over and over. I'm sure if I spent another few hours looking around, I'd see more interesting things, but the game is already bored me to the point I've lost all interest in even trying. If the combat gets a complete overhaul, I might give it another try, but until then this one sits as a regret in my libary.

Edit: Still way over hyped. Boring.

Very good game. Combat is fun, pals are fun, bases are fun and labor is fun(if not buggy, but even that has been improved significantly with just the first two updates since launch.) I enjoyed all 200+ hours of the game. I've finished everything at this point, really only breeding left. I can't wait till my friends are ready to start over.

Cons: My only real con, that involves the game itself, not bugs, is that the building is very lackluster. Coming from Valheim, Ark, etc, the building is very poor in comparison, but also more detailed. It's weird. You can build a piano. Why a piano? It's cool that they added so many well done decorations and such, but you have so little to work with to build a place nice enough to fit them. Most importantly, I do not see this con lasting. Building will be improved over time.

Enjoyable game. Interesting and unique concept. Drillship automation is really satisfying. Unfortunatly, it comes pretty late in the game when I feel it's kinda pointless. Combat is pretty fun with some enjoyable weapon mechanics.

After a long wait, the devs released a massive bug fix patch, that brought the bethesda level of bugs under control. Some balance passes, and such, and the game is in a good state. They did a good job holding true to 40k, and the environments and feel of 40k are there. The story is decent enough, and it's fun to be a rouge trader and go through the different paths.

I'm disappointed by the lack of variety and challenge to the game. The scaling is pretty poor. You either use a meta build and the game is trivial, even on unfair, or reload over and over till RNG blesses you. It's like there is no middle ground. The game is either a ridiculous challenge of you getting oneshot constantly or you breeze through every single combat, even bosses in one turn without the boss even getting a turn. Any build works just fine on lower difficulties, but it's still an issue to me. It's also people should know going in. If you play on unfair, use meta builds or it really is unfair to the point of lacking fun and wasting time.

Still, despite the combat being average at best, and the story being just decent, with some really glaring holes in it, the rest of the game is pretty good.

It is defiantly a great introduction to 40k for new people though. They take the time to explain a lot of the little things other games gloss over.

It's just not that good. I keep trying, but I just don't like it. World is just a better, and more fun game.
