CS:GO Review
Way better than that wannabe cartooney shooter with character abilities.

OVERVIEW
This game is truly a blast! Vicarious Visions have done an excellent job this time around re-creating a fantastic trilogy while keeping integrity of the original games. I'll keep the review short for readability. To keep it simple, if you like Crash Bandicoot this game is a MUST BUY. If you like challenging platform games, again its a MUST BUY! Hours of fun to be had here and if you have played the original trilogy this game looks so much better this time around.

GRAPHICS (9/10)
Nothing looks out of place or old. Textures, lighting, and shadows all hold their own and look great. I have no problem achieving 60fps on my rig (although mid-tier). This game has only crashed (get it, "Crashed") one time for me early on within the first 3 hours of play time. All artwork, cutscenes/cinematics, and animations look great as well!

GAMEPLAY (8/10)
Classic Crash Bandicoot gameplay! This game plays extremely well and is as responsive as it should be. Controls feel great (XB1 controller) and I have no complaints here. Very basic controls: jump, spin, dive. Easy to pick up but harder to master.

STORY (8/10)
Pretty basic story line here: You are a goofy bad guy running around trying to collect crystals to defeat the bad guy! Simple, but it works. To be honest story doesn't really matter for this game because you are more focused on completing and mastering levels.

CONCLUSION
With my 21 hours in the game I am nearly half way through the third game, which I expect will take me another 2-3 hours if it ends up being similar in length compared to the first two games. That is factoring in that I completed each level one time without going back to collect all gems. I am assuming there is more story content to be had once you collect all gems in the game. IF you are attempting to master this game I'm sure you will have well over 30 hours invested to do so. Lots of fun to be had here and I definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a single player challenge.

Now that the ToT/Krypt/Currencies have been addressed I can properly review this game. For the best experience use the 60fps mod tool by Endri. This game looks marvelous with it!

Story:

I absolutely loved the story in this game from start to finish. The cinematics were awesome and the transitions between cutscenes and gameplay are like butter. Sound is crisp and the entire story feels like watching a movie. If you are contemplating buying this game just for the story I would definitely consider it an option but probably not at full retail. I was able to complete the story within about 6 hours.

Towers of Time:

Since the patch the ToT are much more manageable and the payout is much better! (1,000 koins per match, up to 8 hearts per match) If I have a hard time beating a fight then I will enable the AI fighter. Overall the payout is fun in ToT and it is definitely still challenging as it should be (I was unable to beat the scorpion tower).

Krypt:

NOTE
I'm still not impressed that the krypt is 30fps. While the 60fps mod helps the krypt is very unoptimized so you are unable to get steady 60fps (usually hovered between 40-60).

Gameplay aside the krypt is huge and full of mysteries and challenges, most of what still wait for me the next time I play it. There is so much to do in here I feel like I will be spending a lot of time figuring out how to unlock rewards and opening chests. I like the direction that NRS went and I think they got the krypt right this time around. I also like the 3rd person view compared to 1st person.

Multiplayer: (Que "DESYNC" Audio!)

The majority of my time spent playing online has been playing kasual 1v1 matches, so I can't apply my review to every aspect. However, from what I have played, the netcode is the BEST it has ever been in Mortal Kombat. With excellent connection to your peer it almost feels like you are playing on the couch next to them. Very impressed with how everything plays this time around. Your mileage will vary depending on how strong your connection is. I have had a few match dropouts. There is an issue online currently with "desyncs." Basically at the end of some matches the game will "desync" when player 1 wins. This could be caused by in-game RGB issues that were implemented. People aren't happy with this but for me it isn't gamebreaking--still worth mentioning.

Kharacter Kustomization:

There's so many kustomization pieces in this game it is ridiculous. Plenty of things to unlock that will keep you playing the game forever. Skins and gear pieces for every character, banners, brutalities, fatalities, and much more. The kustomization functionality in this game is implemented very well and is satisfying. You can swap out abilities for any kharacter so you can have them setup however you want.

Side Notes:

Local play is good as always. If you are new to the game there is a VERY in-depth tutorial mode that will help you get familiar with the game. This has helped me understand frame data, krushing blows, fatal blows, breakaways, and many other new mechanics in this game. Mortal Kombat 11 plays different than MKX; its much slower and more strategic. I love this aspect because you won't always get rushed down in game like in previous titles.

Conclusion:

Overall MK11 is such an amazing game and I recommend it for anyone who is unsure of buying the PC version. There are a few bugs still around, such as low audio and online desyncs but I don't think these issues are big enough for me to say not to buy this game. Definitely worth the money and I will be sinking many more hours into this in the future!

Can't think of many negative things to say about the beta!

System: GTX 1070, i7-6700k, 8gb ddr4

Game runs around a solid 100fps on max settings. No stutter, no frame drop. It is SOLID. Plently of video customization options. Having a lot of fun and I might have to cancel my Xbox pre-order now.

Only issue that I have had so far is the game crashed once on the main menu. Other than that I love it!
