Enjoyable for the short time that I played it but the game itself just runs like ass, on a GTX 1080 and i7 4790k I had to turn down a lot of settings to even get a stable 60 fps and even then there are drops.

As with most early access games, this is a game that has potential it just needs a bit more work.

Excellent Music
Nice Art Style
Easy Interface
Challenging Gameplay
Multiplayer

Cons:

Levels feel a bit empty.
Controls feel a bit floaty.
It's quite difficult to tell where you are landing.

Honestly Shantae has got to be one of my favourite platforming series and Half-Genie Hero is no exception, Beautiful Visuals and I have to say the soundtrack is mind blowing. The gameplay is addicting and fluent, when I finished my first playthrough, I immediatly wanted to start another.

There are some downsides however, the game felt shorter than both Riskys Revenge and Pirates Curse though there is DLC incoming with a new full campaign so once that is available I feel it will be more than worth the asking price.

I also felt the game was way to easy, you are given an insane amount of hearts I feel even half the amount would of been better.
