This is literally Warframe and Destiny combined in one game, and it's worse than both is basically every aspect.

The gun-play is closer to Destiny than Warframe, and Destiny is leagues above it,
The movement is basically nonexistent, even more so if compared to either of the games above, but the one thing it has, the grappling hook, feels more like a cheese than part of the intended gameplay. As soon as you use it to go up a building, 99% of the enemies can do nothing to respond.
The story is boring and clearly heavily based on Destiny's (also one of the big bads is literally named Greg. F*cking GREG)
The world is pre-made like Destiny but the missions are somehow more generic than warframe, which is procedural.
The account progression, which they blatantly copied from Warframe, is tacked on without intent. They literally copied Warframe's leveling system of Masteries, but unlike Warframe, the thematic makes no sense for it to be there and you don't have the cool Mastery tests, you literally just have to go to the main lobby and press a button. What's the purpose of this, just to look like warframe? If I just have to press a button, then just level me up when I "qualify" to level up.
The only thing better in this game than in the "competition" (or should I say parents?) is the graphics, which yes, look really good, but the game lags as all hell as soon as anything cool starts happening (Playing on a 3060ti and in the graphics settings the game suggested (High))

Will probably play more just because it's the new thing and I'm on a Warframe break, but if you haven't played any of the games mentioned in this review please do a favor to yourself and play them instead

Very good, amazingly beautiful, huge and everything is very fair. The only thing that may be too hard is the final boss, but even if you don't beat him, you got to enjoy 100% of the DLC, just go anywhere else.

"Oh no! The DLC is hard! I never expected that, it hasn't been a trend for the last 13 years!"

A rough diamond
Although I loved it, I am very mixed about this game. There are really cool things but also some really harsh negatives, let me explain:

The positives
  • First of it's kind: The gameplay is something really innovative, mixing two genres that (as far as I know) have never been mixed before: Deckbuilder Roguelikes (E.g: Slay the Spire ) and 2D RTS's (E.g Cortex Command and old flash games like Age of War, Clan Wars and House of Wolves), which so happen to be two genres I really like, and mainly towards the latter, I feel there aren't enough games of.
  • Sea of content: This game has a ton of content, and everything seems to synergize really well. Like, this game has more starter class combinations than most games have builds. It's trully insane. If you don't want to, you can never make the same build twice, and this is not an exaggeration.
  • Ocean deep gameplay: Seeing the last point some may think that the game is wide as an ocean but shallow as a pond, because how can a small indie game I never heard about be both huge and absurdly complex? I don't know either, but it just is. Not only can you make basically create infinite builds, but within every battle you have many different ways to win, having to adapt to your enemies' weaknesses and bypass their strengths though crazy tactics. It's trully insane.

but as the title says, it's a rough diamond, let's tale a look at it's roughness:

The negatives
  • The elephant in the room: Well, if you're reading this you're in the game's steam page, and can clearly see that the graphics, or lack thereof, is not it's strong suit. This is basically (old) Dwarf Fortress level graphics, everything is just a representation of a concept, without any worry or thought about flair or feeling. It's basically a placeholder for us to enjoy the gameplay. And therefore, I don't really have a problem with that, but I can see how some would be turned off by this.
  • Bad explanations: This is by far the game's biggest problem. I yapped before about how crazy the game's depth is and how many cards and synergies are there, but everything is really poorly written. This is one of the most complex games I've played and it's poorly written. Basically 0 punctuation, some things are literally just wrong, and some explanations probably made sense for the developer writing, but as player who has no clue what anything is, I felt like i was reading a language I don't speak. This makes you need to know everything by experience in a game with 1000 moving parts.

TL;DR
This game is really innovative and has a really fun gameplay with ton of contents, but has some major flaws, mainly the graphics (for people who care about that) and not being well written or explained, which is a huge problem in such a complex game. I recommend the game simply because of novelty and potential, but if you're hoping for a game to sink your teeth, I would Wishlist it and wait for some updates/a potential full release.

For some reason doesn't trigger my thalassophobia at all, the game is really good and really beautiful.

Amazing to see this certified hood classic is getting a sequel, and a damn good one at that. Of course, as of now it doesn't have a lot of content, but it's an Open Alpha, for free (assuming the game will be paid). The mechanics and game feel are solid, the gameplay loop is satisfying and the co-op is really good as well, I had zero bugs or lag issues, this is a really good foundation for an amazing game. Can't recommend enough.

Early Access Review
I had a vague memory of this game these last few days, and after a long search I finally found it! I watched a youtuber play it on launch and really liked it but I was a kid and couldn't buy it. When I saw it was still in early access I thought it was abandoned, but to my surprise it's in very active development! Thats really cool!

I will keep on playing the game and will update my review once I beat it (if you can even say that about a sandbox game, but once I see everything there is in the game).

The game looks amazing and seems to have a lot of cool stuff to do, but I instantly have some criticisms that I hope are constructive, I'll give them on the discussion board.
