I like puzzle games where they show you the tools you have and you gradually discover ways to apply them. This game gives you the tools and then expects you to spend hours figuring out how to apply them by yourself

I can't look past the lack of polish here. It's a neat concept, but the rough UI and non-existent sound effects and music ruin it for me. It's cheap, so I'm not that upset, but this could be really good with a bit more polish

I really want to like Timberborn, but I can't get my head around how to optimise water wheels. The tutorial doesn't say much about how to position them and there's nothing in-game to help you pick a spot or explain why a wheel isn't producing much. The wiki helps a bit with placing 1 wheel, but doesn't help with how to expand beyond that. 1 wheel can only power 1-2 buildings so that become a major bottleneck early on.

This is all compounded by the sloooooow build speed, even at triple speed. If I could quickly iterate on a dam and wheel setup, I might be able to figure out a good solution.

If the devs help players understand water wheels better, I'll come straight back to Timberborn, but until then I can't recommend this
