Great experience so far. Been playing MH for years now and the story mode difficulty about lines up with my expectations, albeit a bit easier with the new wounding system.

Performance leaves a bit to be desired. I can squeeze out more than playable performance, but the game should not have been optimized with frame generation in mind.

If you've got the CPU for it, this is definitely a good time!

My only complaint is performance for now. Give me some DLSS and frame gen and I'll be happy.

Only making a positive review now that SONY has walked back that horrendously stupid decision. This game is lightning in a bottle that SONY almost ruined. Thank God arrowhead was in our corner and was willing to fight with us.

Game is garbage. Takes forever to grind for higher tier stuff and they went and made it take longer... unless you want to PAY to skip the unnecessary grind. Avoid this game like the plague

Game isn't optimized. matchmaking sucks. spawn system is designed so poorly that you will literally get trapped behind your teammates and if you think people are spawning behind you all the time then it's because they literally are. UI is also still absolute trash.

Don't bother buying this.

Game still sucks. Movement is slow and clunky still. MW2019 is the superior CoD

Requesting refund now as I am no longer able to play the product I paid for. The product has changed significantly from what I had originally purchased. I will not create an epic games account and even if I could, I cannot connect to the epic services anyways.

I am OWED a refund for this product.

They fixed most of the problems I had with it back when it first came out in early access. Fantastic early access title now with a great combat system, crafting system, and building system. Map is well thought out and rewards exploration.

It's like a nice cross between God Eater and Dark Souls. The combat is a bit more floaty than DS, but tighter than GE. Stylistically speaking, it's closer to GE minus the jiggle physics.

Speaking of style, this has one of the craziest character creation systems I've ever encountered. You're able to nearly 100% replicate your favorite husbando or waifu. The armor, in game known as blood veils, doesn't change much visually speaking, but you're able to go to the mirror in the home base to change up your characters outfit or character design at any point in the game. None of that affects anything in terms of functionality, so it's nice to change up your looks for a change of pace.

The game doesn't lock you into any one class or skill-set either. You can change it up on the fly by swapping out your armor, weapon, blood-code(class), and skills. It also has a neat inherit system where mastering a skill in one class allows you to use it in another class.

The plot is a tad generic, but enjoyable. I especially love Mia's arc and Jack is growing on me from where I'm at in the story currently.

Soundtrack speaks for itself. A joy to listen to.

As far as bugs or glitches are concerned, I've encountered two. The main characters memories arc end boss (you know the one) went totally invisible on me during it's teleportation attack animation. Sometimes it's body doesn't render, leaving a floating sword and shield, and sometimes nothing about it renders and I'm getting wailed on by a vampire poltergeist. The second bug I encountered was a Crash-To-Desktop (CTD) immediately following the final boss of the cathedral stage. I had to fight that boss again and it was a lot harder the second time around for whatever reason.

Some other minor issue that I've been encountering is a strange loss of performance when in areas that have the huge black glowing thorns/spikes (usually near certain important doors/mistles you'll know them when you see them)

Breaking it all down:
Graphics - 7/10
Visual Style - 9/10
Gameplay - 8/10
Plot/Story - 7/10
Playability - 6/10
Soundtrack - 8/10

TL;DR would I recommend this to others in it's current state? Yes, I would. Happily.
