Agent, your country needs you...

One of my favourite series of games ever.

I liked the Demo version much more then the final release product. The older demo had better physics that didn't yeet you into the sky. Also it was more rewarding to chain your drifts through out an entire track. The point of this game to me was being able to chain the drifts consistently through out and doing so would reward the player with constantly building speed. It was possible to keep this up and manage it over an entire race before which made the game a really fun experience that felt like you could just go faster with unlimited potential. It was a really fun feed back loop until I guess way later on the developer decided people who could skilfully navigate the entire race drifting should be punished harshly via the map design and newer physics that make the car feel really horrible to drive after specific speed is crossed.

Also since the time for the trophy times are an absolute joke to beat if you have any sense of just basic game play and racing lines. The only thing left is to chase is the leader boards for better times. Then another major flaw of the game starts to show up with the physics just not being fun at all. Once you start to really try to optimise your run and push the bounds of the game. You'll find in so many places the game is designed to troll you and just mess up your run. The later tracks get really bad for this and lead to just an really frustrating experience over all.

I really hope the Physics are reverted back to more closely resemble the demo version I played earlier in development, because that was a really great game and experience. I am really sad that the physics have changed to try and dumb the game down and make it so frustrating for top players to keep enjoying the game with out some random result screwing my race over. If I wanted to experience this kind of annoyance for speed running / leader board reasons there are better games to speed run.

As of this time I cant really recommend this game anymore, which really sucks because I was touting this game as being really awesome and a great speed run game for leader boards but that has unfortunately changed.

Night Manor was worth the whole price.


After playing many more hours and trying more games since my initial review UFO 50 is the greatest deal in gaming since the Orange Box.

One of the best and a highly influential title in FPS games.

Amazing return to the text parser genre of games while also taking them to a new level! Highly recommend the game with all the amazing endings. The Pixel art is amazing, even more so when your consider it is only use the EGA colour palette.
