GG Starbreeze higher ups, you ruined it.

At the moment, I can't recommend this game. 1.0 has been... rough. I'm beyond frustrated the enemy AI is STILL 2 shotting you within 0.1 seconds of sticking your left pinky toe out from behind cover despite the fact you're wearing armor, whereas the suspects tank multiple center mass shots despite not wearing armor. That's if you're lucky, if not? Have fun being wallbanged. Speaking of suspects, there's so many suspects crammed into these levels it feels more like a terrorist hunt suicide mission than a SWAT situation. I went into this game expecting a SWAT game, not this weird quasi-milsim shooter. If you play this game like, y'know, police, you are going to get killed. The only way TO play this game and make it out alive (even this isn't a guarantee) is to gun down anything that isn't immediately clearly a civvie. But IF you do that, you're going to be punished for it because shooting suspects stresses your officers. It's infuriating that the only way to survive gets you punished! As if that wasn't bad enough, getting killed stresses your officers even though you restart the mission when you die, effectively punishing you for dying to unfair AI. To top it off, shouting for compliance, a key feature for any police game, jerks your gun's muzzle around which will absolutely get you killed. As of the time I write this, I've played this game for over 182 hours hoping things will get better. They never did. However, I genuinely hope they turn things around. On the whole Void Interactive has been punching FAR above their weight for an indie studio and I want the game to succeed, it just feels like they're focusing on the wrong things first and that's not letting the game shine to its full potential.
