Someone is trying to convince you to buy murder miners? Well it's only 3 dollars so just get it. It's a really good game to play every once in a while. It looks like a Minecraft rip off but it really isn't. matter of fact it's a rip off of a much better video game, HALO! That's right this is not a sandbox game but in fact a competitive shooter with halo inspired mechanics including Shields, Melee, Grenades, Assassinations, Radar, Jumping, Crouching. The only thing this game has in common with Minecraft is blocks. Don't let the blocks fool you. There are a lot of really solid pros, and a few considerably bad cons.

Pros
-incredibly tight shooting mechanics with very customizable options. Players who have played any halo will feel right at home with the aiming, even if they are coming from console to keyboard. If you have played a lot of pc shooters then you are gonna dominate murder miners. Completely rebindable controls for every single option. All the weapons are from halo and keep accurate with damage and aiming mechanics. The hit boxes all make perfect sense, and every fight feels fair.

-Blocks as cover is actually really incredible. if you've ever been playing halo,COD,battlefield, or really any high graphics fps, you've had this problem. Getting shot when you thought you were safe. weather its your hand sticking out to far, or your head is a little higher then you thought, someone snipes you. well in murder miners, cover is completely reliable and predictable. No matter what map you are playing on. you can stand behind 3 blocks, and you can crouch behind 2. its easy and allows you to be very flexible in where you position.

-The movement is just perfect. It's responsive and gives just the right amount of air control. There's also large collection of very specific secret movement mechanics, from simple stuff like wall jumps and dashes, to small little quirks that give you crazy options, almost like a fighting game. you can do special hops off of certain block formations that launch you in a range of directions. It allows you to get really creative with high flying snipes, or aerial sticky grenade kills. It also allows map makers to put very specific routes for parkour, that only the veteran eye will see. Once you are very good you will play like some sort of dragon ball z john wick. dashing around, head shotting and nading everyone.

-Powerful building controls, you can use the minergun if the host has allowed it. Most people will play combat with the minergun off but use it when making maps. it allows you to place and destroy blocks. It is much faster then building in minecraft, you have a infinite line tool, as well as the ability to change one group of blocks to another. the controls are a bit clunky on the minergun, but there's lot of shortcuts to learn to get incredibly fast at construction.

-You get to choose every color on your armor piece by piece.

Cons

-dead player base. most lobbies you join are trash. game is AMAZING if you play with friends or find cool people online. good thing there's a 4-pack!!

-No progression, no exp, no unlockables, no rank. The only thing you can build up is your map collection, and your skills as a player.
