I find it difficult to express the wonder this game instils in me. Though I am not a climber by any means, here it truly becomes just you and the mountain.

Every hold is significant. Each action requires purpose. If you hurry, you risk it all. The game imparts the value of patience through the repercussions of your choices.

Everything feels intuitive. You think, strategise, and act. Occasionally, things falter, you tense, you panic, you miss a hold, but that's simply part of the ascent. Defeat never feels trivial, and it often means losing even your life.

I didn't expect to be reminded of my passion for video games. And I certainly hadn’t expected to encounter an experience like this. A beautifully designed, immersive experience that feels more like a dialogue between the player and the surroundings than a conventional game.

And the Music, when it's there… phenomenal. Subtle yet powerful, and flawlessly timed, it enhances the right moments without ever taking you out of the experience. I literally want to buy a vinyl or something because it was perfect for this experience.

(Spoiler free) Edit After Completing the game and just a thought:

I think the game captures the spirit of humanity in a way I didn’t expect. Everyone climbs their own mountain, with their own fears, limits, and reasons for continuing. In the grand scale of things, each ascent is fleeting... almost insignificant... but while you’re on the wall, every decision matters.

I think it's a reflection of the choices we make, and sometimes we forget that we don't have all the time in the world.

It embraces our smallness without diminishing us. You are just a moment in an uncaring world, yet the effort, the persistence, and the will to keep going give that moment meaning. CAIRN doesn’t tell you why the climb matters. It simply asks if you’re willing to keep climbing.

After beating the game... yup I feel quite hungry

GOTY contender, Still great production value, lots of love put into it, totally not dissapointed. actually quite impressed.

Best roguelike shooter in 3d until host dies and disconnects from the game.... and then you get kicked 10/10.

Before you jump to my throat and assassinate me:

-I understand this is early access.
-its MY oppinnion, if you get offended I dont care.
- I'm giving constructive criticism.
-i really shouldnt be writing this to cover my back but you know its 2019... (not related to the review).

Now on a more serious tone, here are some things i would add:

-add the option to drop items from the tab menú, if you steal someone's stuff.

-Another player being able to revive you by paying. Either going to the capsule or to get to an environment prefab and paying money. A cool way to balance it it would be to make the revived player loose a few items.

-Add host migration, or the ability to host public multiplayer (I haven't found how to do it yet).

-Maybe for a boss to drop class weapons (?) but this is more on a base game design not a small change.

Music: 8/10
Gameplay: Actually fun to get op and fly around the map or jump 7 times // 8/10
Level design: Honestly a bit barren, but common its a roguelike. 6/10
Mechanics: Pretty good stuff and combos you can do between characters, but there is room to expand 8.5/10
Replayability: 7/10 I already unlocked all the characters... soo... adding more end game stuff outside the runs would improve this greatly.

Generally worth it for the price plus future updates upcoming, i reccomend watching a review and see if you like the graphic style, i wasn't a fan but it grew on me.

what else... hmm... I dont know what abouyt a general grade:

for now 7/10

but I can see the potential here it could probably grow to be one of the best roguelike shooters of its genre... and its innovative.

7 Años despues y apunto de salir el nuevo titulo he de decir que World se ha convertido en uno de mis RPG favoritos. solo le he echado casi 200h y la verdad que me queda mucho que ver, voy a derrotar a fatalis y alatreon una vez antes de pasar al wilds y asi darle a este juego el homenaje que se merece.
