This game is absolutely not fun alone, and it is barely fun with friends. The combat is slow, and even if you clear every angle, you'll get shot by someone in the trees. There are limited positions available in terms of tank and sniper squads meaning you will rarely get to play them.
Also, the UI/UX is the worst of any FPS game I have ever played. When you die, you have to hold 'F' for 5 seconds to bleed out, then you have to wait on the 'Killed in Action' screen for 10 seconds, then you have to press space to 'Redeploy', then click where you want to deploy, then click 'Deploy', then wait out the 40 second timer. All of this so you can instantly be killed as soon as you spawn in again.
Overall, unless you go rogue and sneak around the map, you will spend more time in the UI than you will playing the game.

Don't buy this game. I am lucky if I can get 5 games before it crashes. I have tried reinstalling the entire 55.5GB. I have a 2070 and the game's own settings puts me at Ultra with memory to spare. However, it continuously crashes.

Update: I have upgraded to a 3070, with an additional 16GB of RAM and it makes no difference in DMZ or WZ. There are still constant dev errors that cause me to lose my gear.

My partner and I really enjoy playing the game in Co-op. We can both use a controller and run around the map hitting stuff.

The screen constraints can be pretty restrictive. Swapping items in the inventory is constant and can be tedious. Swapping between weapons and items during combat can be an inconvenience.

The great thing about this game is that it is accessible as the combat is very simple.

Overall a great game for the price, and I recommend giving it a go.

There is some great storytelling in the game, but it is "more of the same" throughout. I haven't seen an NPC, or another player. It's a great box opening simulator though, and pretty chill. I can see myself jumping in and out to fight a couple of big rigs every now and again.

I hope it gets better in the future, it has a lot of potential!

Don't bother trying to play a survivor as a new player in Australia, you will get kicked from every lobby (if you can find one). Switching over to Killer means you can find a lobby (as you create it on a P2P connection) but you will be teamed up with rank 20s and above, who are lvl 40. This is the equivalent of smurfing as these guys have maxxed characters with 4 perk slots and many consumables.

Also, the amount of bugs I have come across withing 50 minutes of play is ridiculous. One time a guy was using an infinite which is basically a cheese spot making it nigh impossible to catch them if they don't mess it up (and there are lots of them). I managed to get him because he messed up but he just crawled up against the gap and everytime I went to grab him I climbed through it instead. This apparently happened enough times that he was unable to be picked up and crawled all the way to the exit without me being able to do a damn thing about it. All this was after people were healing him everytime the game forced me to climb through the hole instead of picking him up.

Needless to say the game is pretty frustrating. I thought I did my research by watching hours of it on Twitch, but I guess I was wrong. Hopefully this changes with more hours played, maybe once I get a few people who will give me a go so I can gain some levels more people will allow me to play.

Edit: Upon playing the game for longer, I still stand by not buying it if you are a solo player. The only thing that makes this game bearable is having a group of friends to play with. The only problem with this is that their "Survive with friends" doesn't actually work. Most of the time you can't find a game and the rest of the time the killer drops the lobby. This on top of the numerous bugs can make the game extremely frustrating to play unless it is a friendly game with mates.

Our first game my partner and I ran around doing nothing while trying to chase a "Wraith" for a half hour before it evolved to stage 3 and killed us all in a room with the power core. 30 minutes of running around doing nothing but kill NPC's to get wrecked within 3 minutes. What a terrible concept.

From my and my partner's experience the game was extremely boring. I think we'll just go play Dead by Daylight instead, lol.

Gotta love a bit of classic Worms. Updated graphics, some new weapons, and Steam Workshop too! This game is great!
