Early Access Review
An amazing discovery, albeit a game where you will see your friends run away the moment a monster appear, or believe that you died and take off with the ship while you were 5 meters away from it... Did it happen for me? Yes, but not from the point of view I described, heh.

What can I say? This is the first time in my life where I stay up almost all night just to play a game, and while I may suffer from some lack of sleep, I think it was worth it.

My opinion might be biased since this is the first FromSoftware game I played, but I honestly think that this is the best one to start the 'soulslike' serie since the difficulty heavily depends on the playstyle and more importantly on whether or not you decide to visit everything you can before continuing the 'main' story line or some huge quests, making the game 'easier' if you find better armors/weapons/recipes/spirits-if you play them- without necessarily making the first playthrough a breeze.

The bosses are mostly great to fight, sometimes requiring some changes in your build to beat them, though I'm a bit saddened by the repetitive usage of 'smaller' bosses in Catacombs, and I sometime wish some two-phase bosses had to be killed once before phase two begins since changing at 50% health usually make the player miss some potential attack patterns from either the first or second phase, as helpful as it could be, I would love to see everything a boss could offer in a battle and even more hear the music for a longer time, though I might regret such decision in NG+.

The story, from everything I could gather and understand, is fantastic; the multiple endings are also a great addition, although I would like them to have more impact somehow.

The music is top notch, truly a lot of banger, and the landscape is huge, diversified, and beautiful as well (minus the Catacombs).

I did experience two bugs, one of which was patched but I still don't know for the other, being the Bestial Sanctum instant death when trying to get down, and the Mausoleum bug which didn't allow two specific Mausoleums to be used the moment you used one in a single playthrough.

I can't say much PVP-wise since I'm not playing the game for it, although I had to fight multiple times for a quest and experienced the beauty of fighting people with stone age networks.

Overall, I highly recommend this game if you want to play an RPG with great difficulty without being too 'niche'... Be prepared to play for hours straight, though.
