Something in me urged to write this review, A blinding light.

Hailed as the worst thing that humanity has ever made ever, Final Fantasy XIII really is just a long tutorial, one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ metal gear solid 3 stairs long (even longer). It's true, the first 20-30 hours of the game you can just sit back and press the 'a' or 'x' button and win every battle, It plays itself. But there's something left to be desired from this game, a meat hidden before a pack of nails.

Now you might think that you don't care about the gameplay, you're just here for the story. That's great and all except for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hope. It's probably the reason why I can't remember any of the story now, because I was so focused on him, The story involves something being crystal and saving someone. I honestly don't know what kept me going, maybe it's the long hallway intriguing world and loveable character Sazh.

Once you reach Gran Pulse, the game transforms. Somehow, I dare say, it became fun. The combat now has more depth and the freedom you get is fresh and exciting. The sidequest and the monsters, especially riding chocobos felt great. Everything became fun, you can also switch characters and not choose Hope. Or choose him, his character developed later on and he's kinda useful.

To truly understand Final Fantasy XIII we need to question every game design that had been made. The long, giant hallways is really just a satire and metaphor for every game that exist. If you really, really think about it, Mario is just a long 2d hallway. The only difference between them is that FF13 lets you move in every direction. GTA V, praised for its open world, is also a long giant hallway, the difference is the size of the hallway is massive in that game, so you don't feel like you're in a hallway. It's all just an illusion. Why do we have to play games if it's all just a massive hallway? This game critisize on the very idea of playing games itself, it showed a bold and blatant real hallway, not a metaphorical one. We all live in a giant hallway.

I wrote a short "review" a few years ago and i feel i like didn't do this game enough justice it deserves.
What exactly is this game? That is a really good question. If you really want a better review just read this.

This is supposed to be a survival horror game, is it though? It's a murder mystery, you play as York (everyone calls him that) an fbi agent that investigate a serial killer leading to a small town. Once you start this game, you'll know that this game is bad. The story doesn't make sense, the dialogue is horrible, the cutscenes are attrocious, the gameplay are horrendous, the control is the worst. But it is also a wonderful experience that you'll never forget.

You'll dread the shooting so much with all the bullet sponge enemies, You'll accidentally press the a button and see the 'get out of car' animation a million times. You will also ask questions, a lot of questions. Why is the raincoat killer stopped chasing me after i evade one time? Why is there an old dude on a wheelchair wearing a gas mask? Why is there a jazz playing while i examined a body? Who is whistling that mario theme?!? please get it out of my head. And also Who is zach?
Not all of that question will be answered. At the end of the game, the character will grow on you, you'll no longer ask the unecessary question, because it's deadly premonition.

But if it's all so bad, what makes it a good game, you ask. Deadly premonition knows that it is a bad B-movie and made it their strength. Sure you will be frustated, but that frustation is wiped by the laugh that you'll get. You'll laugh at it, thinking that it's bad, but that's also what makes it so good. It's also possible that you will hate it with passion, that is also fine. Because you gotta have a truly twisted mind to enjoy it. It's a genius of swery.

How exactly are we supposed to enjoy this game, ironically? Unironically? That is a question that will never be answered.
Perhaps the saddest part of this game is this will probably be the one and only that ever comes out.

The suspect was taken into the station. I searched the place for more clues. Didn't get much out of it. I went back to interrogate the suspect. He was with me on okinawa, he was never really my friend, but he wasn't really my enemy. I started with small talk about the war back in the day. But he's fed up and said cut the crap. So i started questioning him about the murder. He got no alibi at the time of death. It was a simple question, but a complex answer.

Now the hard part, I have to decide. Is it the truth? Or a doubt? Or maybe a lie. I decided to trust him. And he gave me another lead. I went on with that lead with my partner. It was pretty convincing, so i decided to take him as another suspect and brought him to the station. While searching the place, i found the murder weapon and proceed to interrogate him. He gave an alibi. I chose the lie, and show him the evidence. I charged him, and the DA will do the work next.

I went home, not to the usual place. It was a blue room, i saw an angel singing i always kill. I was tempted. The next morning i went to the office, there's another murder. So i went to the crime scene, expecting a new body. But i was wrong. It's the same mark as before, the murder didn't stop. At that moment i knew that it was him. I went to his place and dragged him back to the station. He insisted that it wasn't him. And i said that's a lie. But it was pretty convincing, so i persuaded him to gave up names. He's a tough guy, he won't gave up his friends. So it must be on our unit back in the army. Just before i went to continue the investigation, the boss called me. There's a picture of me with the germans. My wife left me, and i got demoted. It was my partner, he rat me out.

Then i wondered, who's really the enemy, and who's really the friend? I got caught in the truth and the lie. So i forgot the doubt. Then i doubt the LAPD, i doubt my partner, i doubt my wife, i doubt him. And the most important one, i doubt myself. I said goodbye to the angel. Forever.

Then i went home to play L.A Noire.

A guy asked me to get a bucket full of water to put out fire, Turned out it was gasoline and i ended up burning 8 orphans.

In a world where women have dissapeared, you play as Brad Armstrong a retired karate teacher with drug problem on a wasteland. One day, You suddenly met a baby out of nowhere. Turned out that baby is the last human female. You shelter her from the outside world yet she want to know about it, few years later someone kidnapped her and killed your friends. And the adventure begins.

Lisa has a lot of dark story and humor which is exactly my taste. The story is depressing and amazing at the same time, the character is naturally likeable, whether it's the main character or the companion that doesn't have that much dialogue overall. I usually don't like the kind of story that doesn't explain all the mystery, But Lisa's story is presented by subtlety that i don't mind it. It actually creates a lot of interesting theory about the game.

This game is made in rpg maker, where it doesn't have the option to make a side scrolling game, yet Dingaling did. Lisa is basically telling you that engine limitation means nothing. The gameplay itself is old school turn based rpg with unique touch on it. I personally enjoy it with the variety of skills that Brad and the companions have. The best part about it is that you don't need to grind at all. Playing Lisa is a joy.

In the end, Lisa is an amazing rpg that combines good storytelling and gameplay.

YOU'RE TEARING ME APART LISA.

I've never felt emotional while holding a controller and moving some character in game before.
Did this game change that?
No.
But it did change how i look at game.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is a game that question what if those knowledge that you got from playing games before doesn't matter?
And the answer is fantastic. It's an innovative game that makes you control one character with one stick and the brother on the other stick. I'm not that impressed by the story itself, but the journey is breathtaking. The puzzles are simple, so simple in fact that i think everyone can play this. The graphics is very fascinating with strong art direction and the music is great too. The levels are clever albeit simple like the puzzle itself but it takes you from a village to massive castle and to snowy place and every place is wonderful.

I recommend this game to everyone that appreciate games. Althought short, it's a very meaningful journey.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is the first sherlock holmes game i've ever played.
This game is a modern point and click, with some exploration, kinda.
I'm a huge fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works, although i haven't read all of them.

In this game, you play as Sherlock Holmes... or not.
You can play it the way you want, whether it skipping mini games, investigation and just jump into conclusions (Which contrary to popular beliefs, Sherlock never does)
Or you could carefully examine every inch of crime scene and gather all of the evidence to find the right culprit.
So you can play it.. Sherlock of Sherlock, or Sherlock of your Sherlock.

There are 6 different cases, and each of the case itself is interesting.
While the case itself is interesting, some cases suffered from flawed conclusions because the game let you deduct the culprit early, yet the true criminal itself appear at the very end of the case so it's rather obvious. And sometimes the culprit doesn't even make sense.

Within each case there are several unique minigames, some are great like the chemistry experiment.
And it let you skip it in case it's too hard. (it really isn't)

This game let you play as first person or third person camera. while the first person is smooth and responsive, the third persona camera isn't.
And then there's also this beautiful graphic things but who cares?

Overall the game is a blast to play and you should play it if you like Sherlock holmes and Point and click.

You're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sherlock holmes, why would anyone question your deduction?

You, yes you. Why aren't you thinking with portal?
Are you a moron? You're a moron aren't you?
Yes, you are.
And you're not just a regular moron. You're the product of the greatest minds of a generation working together with the express purpose of building the dumbest moron who ever lived.

With some tweaks here and there, the mp actually works
And uplay honestly isn't that bad.
Aside from that stuff, the game itself is alot of fun, the coop on the other side, is rather boring because most of the times you just go from point a to point b to defend object x so it can move to point y.
