If you are a hardcore, die-hard Yu-Gi-Oh TCG fan who keeps up with the Meta, knows the optimal cards, and has hours to waste, then you won't have a problem with the game. For someone who hasn't actively played or kept up since 2012 and wants to play Yu-Gi-Oh casually on the side, there is no hope for that. Casual games have people playing essentially the same decks as Ranked; there are no gimmicks, standard, or even people just trying out fun combos/decks.

The game could definitely benefit from having more game modes. Yes, I know there are "Game Rooms" you can create, but I'd rather just have a general search pool (like Ranked and Casual) for people who just want to play OG cards (before Synchro, Pendulum, etc.) or for those who just want OG and Synchro, and etc. for the rest.

There isn't even much to do outside of PvP duelling, unlike most online trading card games, which usually have VS bots, story modes, or other alternatives for people who are tired of losing eight games in a row while watching each turn take 2-3 minutes.

I only played a mix of 192 ranked and casual games, so maybe I am wrong.

Mind is Software, Body is Disposable.

Spread the message. Prepare for the future.

On a side note, it's a super short game, but has an endless repeatability mode. Although, the short story is what makes it worth it.

Don't hold yourself back.

One of the best games I have ever played on Steam. The father of every knockoff Rimworld: Going Medieval, Clanfolk, Lords and Villeins, etc.

People complaining about the price tag of the base game, and the price tag of the DLC's are the same people who think its okay to pay 2$ for a furry cosmetic and call it "best DLC quality" (Really look at some of their profiles before you gauge what they say, me included!)

Imo. Everything is worth their pricetag, its got the quality and love of a Triple A' game at half the price. Not to mention one of the only few DLC's for a game which actually adds its weigh in content. It's not just a one time-one off story, its multiple features that overlap with each other and adds to the overall experience of the game, no matter how you play.

An interesting twist on the classic 4x Civilisation style type game-play with some more good features added; Dynasties, Interesting Events and everyone progressing differently.

Unfortunately, there is little customisation It sucks you can't customise and change from the 7 kingdoms w/ four noble families, the combat feels a little BROKEN for ranged units and the AI's manipulation of them.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has this issues, but awful mid to late game lag. Which unfortunately makes it unplayable for me and the only reason for the thumbs down.

Where is the fun in a destruction game were physics don't work? I love it when, some five floor brick building is held up by a solo column of singular bricks. You know you've run out of ideas for your game when everything is just a TIMED mission. I wrote this review just because the game was on sale, and I wanna save others money because I had to pay the full price (P.S i got my money back). 10/100

I'll let a story tell you my thoughts on the game

The story begins with two warrior friends, as they wander their way up to an old cottage on a hill belonging to a former adventurer and lady witch of the woods. She had gathered the two friends, along with her apprentice. A female Hunter who would aid the two friends in their journey to defeat a strange cult which kidnapped people to sacrifice to their Bull-Deity. She informed them of their nearest location and sent the trio on their way. Fighting through the woods, the trio made it to the cults hideout. There, they would be successful but one of the two warrior friends would be forever changed by a ritual performed there.

The trio returned to the Lady of the woods who informed them that they must stop this Cult, as she has seen in long ago in her time. She promised to aid the adventurers when the time came but sadly died that Spring. Following the notes, and wisdom from the lady of the woods, they travelled across the land in search of a library which could contain the information they needed. During their journey they met an old mystic who would join in their travels. She wished wished to avenge her husband, as the Bull-Deity cult had taken his life, and thus she joined the party. The Mystic was quite helpful with guidance, leading the party to this ancient library. It was there that they would do battle with this cult once again. Thus, again claiming another victory, the group would take tomes and maps from the library, temporarily retreating home for a couple years to track the cult.

It was not until their later years that the group, now bigger with the addition of a new warrior. A daughter of the original two friends. This mighty group of five would learn that the Cult has taken a mystical fire stone in hopes of using it in their sadistic plan. The group of mighty five would traverse across the land, to the underground fortress of the Cult, and it was outside there they prepared for battle. In the night before they talked about their adventures they had along the way, like;

When they traversed through the lands and came across the ancient Stormwell. The group used their strength to repair and empowered one of their own with the mighty electrical powers of the storm! Or!
When the group got stuck underground during an expedition, and deep under the mountain, they stumbled upon an ancient temple to A Thnarric god, The god of rivers, words, and rhyme. The groups mystic who'd always held a secret passion for the study of ancient Thnarrland, thought it was a life highlight, and a subtle sign that all she'd learned and lived through had prepared her for this journey. Or!
When they met the Dreamchanter, A singer and storyteller known throughout the land for her glorious songs and stories before she was wounded in an accident. Although wounded, the Dreamchanter and her singing apprentices sat at their fire and sang songs and told stories. The voices that the group heard would be as beautiful as sirens, and they would never hear anything as beautiful again.
Or...the injuries along the way, the loss of eyes and hands...The dead companions who did not last long enough to hear the laughter of the group around the fire.

It was these stories, tails and legends that the party laughed, discussed and drank too the night before the final fight. For in the morning they would descend into the caverns to meet their fate......For one story ends....

TL:DR Just buy the game dude

I wanna like the game but like so many others by the time you reach the 2 hour mark, you are basically done. At first it is quite fun to discover new potions, and use your ingredients; homegrown or store bought but that is where the fun ends.

After about the hour mark you start to notice that the same requests for potions begin to come in, over and over again. The potion crafting becomes ever tedious with it being nothing more then a balancing act on a compass rose (Move the bottle, NORTH, EAST, SOUTH or WEST using ingredients until you hit the required destination, BOOM POTION MADE Zzzzz).

"Sell your potions to the townsfolk while roleplaying as a noble artisan, a greedy weasel, an occult dark master, or whomever else you may wish to be!" Except that the NPC's are lifeless which makes roleplaying anything impossible when you have them coming in and sprouting their one line of dialogue about their potion needs. Alternatively you might get the random choice to ask them a question which will generally be responded to with a one liner like "I promise im gonna use the poison on the cows, or am I...."

Personally I cant recommend the game at the full price, anything over 8$ would be highway robbery

TL;DR: Its boring because all you do is move a bottle icon along a compass rose using limited ingredients every day.
(Yes I understand is EA but if you wanna charge 20$ you better have more than this)

Just buy the base game.
DLC's are broken and the workshop has better content than the DLC could ever offer.
